No idea why I would like to play clicker games. To pick the upgrades? What's the purpose? Anyway I need the sale achivement thingy.

It's fun. wide arrange of abilities.
For someone new it may feel like too many abilities per character, too much cards and purchases and stuff to keep up with. Also first game I played now had my Evie fly in an ice block and be an while riding the mount and that's not something she's supposed to do and a many years old bug. So clearly that haven't been fixed.
Maybe versus Overwatch it's the bouquet of all sorts of flowers and straws with some very interesting things whereas Overwatch is the more strictly formed one. Worth playing regardless.

Devolver Digital - So many fine games!

It's a shooter. Clearly. First person perspective.
Very nice phasing mixing exploration with waves of enemies in intense fights. They become more graphically more intense and chaotic the more players there is as the game scales by throwing more enemies at you, the difficulty may go down though as they don't increase in number as much as the player count do.
Exploration between fights don't have time to get boring and while I do enjoy my adrenaline rushes (last man standing in competitive FPS shooters is the worst I feel like I'm risking my heart every time as it pulsate so hard after that and the body become all jittery) there's eventually an end to them and you get a bit of a breather and change of phase and action / what you do between fights.
The weapons feel nice, the story is good enough, the jokes are nice, there could be more (and less annoying?) enemy types but their design is good too, music is very nice, environments are pretty nice, performance on current hardware fine.

I find it hard to lose my orientation inside of buildings and I typically don't enjoy looking for things very much in games at-least when stuck and I guess not necessarily as a "grind" / thing to do just because either. It's not too bad but it's the one weak point I guess.

The game has quite a bit of content and the price has often been very low so it's a solid recommendation. Guess I'd even call it a must have and among the very best games there is. Especially at its time.

Fun minimalistic game. A ton of levels. Can race with a friend but sadly since not both need to to all the tasks on the level one can head for the exit and "take credit" for finishing first even though someone else did the work. Guess it's fine for making the game easier but ruin the race experience.

I'm a complete noob with this so far. Felt weird typing on it but I had a great experience playing battle-block theater using it. Maybe I should try my Dual Shock 4 against it just for comparision. Colors for buttons matched in that game.
Risk of rain - Warning how it's designed to use mouse and keyboard sometimes. Default configuration I got no movement out of whatsoever.
Pinball FX 3 - Works fine.
Hammerwatch - This title support Nvidia Shield controller with correct inputs but you get a warning how you won't get the correct button information using the Steam Controller and it didn't seemed to do anything for me with the default profile.

Since it seem like this may offer less of a "plug & play" experience I won't recommend this as a single controller and not necessarily as a better controller than the rest either. The Xbox controllers are likely the most convenient ones to use for most games. So for now I'll only recommend it as a secondary controller for when it works / you've configured it right. I haven't looked into configurations at all or the various profiles. Maybe this can be made to work with the games I made a very quick test with but as is it seem to be less compatible as is than those controllers and as such I won't give it a recommendation without making a reservation.

I'll try it out more later :).
I can also compare it to the Dual Shock 4 and Nvidia Shield (original controller) as I have both of those and kinda Xbox One too since I've had and used that at-least.

+ Exclusive capacities and solutions.
- Not supported by default by games.
- The Steam Link doesn't have a built-in receiver for this so if you want to use it for both PC and Steam Link and don't move around your receiver make sure to also order an additional receiver!

The Steam Controller comes with a shortish USB type A to micro-USB cable as-well as a "converted brick" to turn that micro-USB back to a female USB type A to use it as an extension cord for the wireless dongle if you want too. I assume cable length is fine for front connector on your PC but not for couch to TV.

I'll "kinda" recommend this.

Picture quality seem nice enough for Battle-block theater. Turns out Sonic Generations work fine too (I think, it stutter a bit but that may have been because I changed the graphics settings to high on my HD 6950 rather than compression, I'll figure what it is later, graphics looked clear even in that fast game though.) Chaos Theory 64 kB demo video seemed a bit too much for it (basically a lot of sharp shapes moving around the screen at a very high speed.) Using a long HDMI-cable and wireless dongle for your controller will of course be better than this, if that's an option, but for play over network it seem to be functional. Since I have an old poor TV with SCART & DVI only for some reason my sound wasn't sent to it and the Steam Link install an additional audio output on your PC which stream the sound to it so I had to change that to my normal onboard speaker one to get sound the normal way. Each time I run the Steam Link it changes the default output to Steam Link which is good I guess. No idea why the Steam Link microphone show up under play-back devices though. Really Valve? =P
Streaming your desktop seem to be no more work than alt-tabbing out of Steam. So that's great.

The device got a good weight to it and that help make it feel like a premium device. It's got an ARMv7 processor and built in H.264 video decoding. It could had been just an Ethernet connected remote "display" and USB-hub I guess but it seem to be more than that since it get upgrades and people have been able to modify the video bitrate and install Kodi media-player (though with poor performance) on it. Valve doesn't support any modifications though. I don't know if Windows see the controller in the Steam Link as a controller for itself (or if Steam provides one for it or how it work), since you can mirror anything from the PC-screen onto the TV for something like a media player such as Kodi I guess you could just launch it on your PC and have it streamed over with full performance, though of course then the video would be compressed yet another time before being streamed over so maybe that's not to your liking.

I assume a 4K and HDR-ready device may be coming soon considering the 90% off sales of this. Who knows. But feel free to take that into account. It was released in 2015 after all.
A disadvantage is that it doesn't seem to have a built in receiver for the Steam Controller so if you have one then you either need to get another dongle (order an extra when ordering) or move it around between the Steam Link and PC if you use both.

+ Works.
- HDMI and wireless controller will have no lack of video quality and no additional input lag.
- No built in receiver for the Steam controller :(
Four different power plugs is supported and come with the Steam Link as do an HDMI cable and a short flat Ethernet cable.

So long a fantastic puzzle plattformer game.

I have no idea if deaths / taking damage matter or if it's just annoying / ruining level times / .. Don't seem to matter except push you back to latest save point.

It's light-hearted, through chapter 1 a friendly difficulty, a tiny bit of difficult and challenge but not frustratingly so. Also not a lot of "re-run" to do so far. Very enjoyable!
Haven't played the multi-player. I assume it's actual co-op rather than a possibility to destroy for each other? Time will tell :), wish I had someone to try with.

I've only played a free to play weekend and a very short time on a very weak CPU not offering reasonable performance at that.

The game likely deserve more of a success than what it's had.

Lots of attempts into creating something new, different and go somewhere which should be applauded.

Back over at the Quake Champions forums people complain about any changes, and yeah, Quake is fun as is I suppose but Overwatch is totally lacking .. everything from a game-play design perspective, here we actually have a game with new content and ideas which could get us somewhere and introduce new stuff and sadly too few people are playing it to actually fill those arenas and matches Boss Key has provided.
(Feel free to compare the content CS:GO event passes or Overwatch events add towards those games vs what Boss key add to this one. CS:GO basically have the same dull maps forever. Eventually we've got a few more but then they have also removed others so... If only we had got to keep all event maps.)

It's sad to see something fail when someone tried so hard and see what seem to be pure crap / very weak concepts succeed (neither of PUBG, Rocket league or Overwatch do something really new or interesting but have had success anyway.)

Stupid game. It did had potential but stupid decisions hold it back.
100% pay or grind/waste your time to win. Not worth it because of that.
Edit: lol, if I change to not recommending it supposedly all my ratings will change. Even though I can completely change the text. But I _DON'T_ recommend the game as is. I recommended it early on because it had interesting game play and early on progress is fast, however the game-play is totally unfair and require way too much grinding relative what you get back and the whole concept is unfair so ... There's better competitive games out there. This is more like a brag-show for those who have got the best gear and they will get even more of it because of that.. Yet another problem with the competitive game is that since it have so few players I assume you may end up with others at a different rank and maybe some in the higher ranks play together which mean they get to play with good people whereas the chance may be lower for you if you are playing alone.

9 characters with room for 3 gadgets from among 3 groups + multiple character and weapon skins with different capabilities to choose from COULD had made this game personal and interesting.
It also have multiple competitive multiplayer modes, missions with a decent variation (but terrible difficulty variations) and interesting boss fights to fight.

At first it may look like awesomenauts or something and you can find the character and gadgets for it which you like. Three characters are unlocked the whole time and to unlock the rest you either need gold (get from playing) or real money, you can buy cases for gold or money to unlock skins (legendary is very uncommon and hard to get), hero tokens and metal used to unlock gadgets or skins. If you finish missions or play the game in general you'll receiver XP and gold, XP adds to your character level and each character can be leveled up giving you more gold, tokens and metal to unlock stuff.

Sounds good? It's not.
Why?
Well, because it tries to be a competitive game and a monetized one too at the same time.
The legendary skins are better than the epic ones and if you want legendary stuff then you better grind a lot or pay for it. But there's a lot of grinding to be done to get even one complete (character + weapon skin) for one character because the hero tokens are random and you need 20 for that * 9 characters = 180 boxes = 360 000 gold. If you also want to unlock 9 characters that's 135 000 more gold. I'm not sure you'd have the metal to unlock those things by then thoguh .. The game is pay or grind to win, if you have legendary stuff then you'll got lots better equipment than those who don't.
And the game reward the players who already got the best stuff with even more stuff. The top ranked ones receive a legendary skin + weapon at the end of the season and those in the two leagues below that receive legendary weapons and the rest receive nothing. So if you are on the top you get rewarded with even more stuff which help you stay there and in the mean-time you own all the players below you because they don't have that gear and you aren't competing at an equal level.

The game-play is just fine but it would be better if it was equal.
That you can unlock stuff may pull you in to playing more of the game but the grinding become slower and slower the higher level your characters are and hence less rewarding. The missions give some gold and XP and those could have helped but at most time they have been very hard and ATM they are instead very easy in general with some pretty hard challenges. There was one level which could be grinded and rewarded "plentiful" of XP and gold but that was "fixed" so now that one is very hard instead.

Technically and in game-play and variety the game is an achivement.
The monetizing and grinding design of it totally ruin it though.
It want to be competitive but since it's an unfair game to give benefits tho those who play it or already is on top or pay for it .. well..

Reseña de CS:GO
+ Easy to get in to, short games, can start playing at any skill level.
- Toxic players, repetition and knowledge of game maps and spray patterns give advantage.

I'll write something better at another time. Badge-review.
