Has a certain charm that is lacking in Fallout 4 and that's not nostalgia because I never played til 2020.

a solid 6.9/10. Nothing mind-blowing. Nothing that we haven't seen before. I would even argue The Outer Worlds is the better space rpg. BUT I have overall enjoyed the game. However i am a little miffed that i payed 70 bucks for this. Check it out on gamepass or wait for a sale. It's not worth 70 in my opinion. The reason i say TOW is better is because the planets are much more interesting while this game feels extremely barren. Todd Howard claims the game is realistic and sure.. but realism at the detriment of fun isn't ideal. And there is so much that is not realistic anyway. 10 interesting planets > 500 dull barren planets. Also having to fast travel is very cumbersome. I wish you could just do it in one or two clicks but it is a whole process every single time. Okay so whats good then? Exploring the hideouts and abandoned facilities is good old-school Bethesda fun. There are a lot of weapons to collect. Space politics/ the story can be interesting at times. They weren't lying when they said it was the least buggy Bethesda launch. There are still some bugs but i havent encountered anything game-breaking or all that bad. The graphics can be pretty but are otherwise MID. You need a beefy PC for reference my 2070 got anywhere from 30-60 frames. No DLSS is very dissapointed although supposedly theyre adding it, but i will have moved on by then. If you are a big fan of space in general or Bethesda I say buy. Otherwise save you money and wait for a sale. 6.9/10

it's worth it and i look forward to the dlc. there are many flaws tho and it just looks strange at times
