I'm no longer afraid of the kids menu anymore

Honestly a very good Metroidvania. Controls are tight, combat is fluid, and the music is awesome! Any fan of Metroidvanias should definitely check this game out.

If anyone is thinking of replaying the original Half-Life, this is the pinnicale of ways to play it. Not only with its built in Half-Life deathmatch, but the upgraded graphics helps players re-experience the technical marvel that original Half-Life players experienced back in 1999. The devs are even working hard reworking Xen and fixing parts of the game that the missed out on, such as missing maps and such. If Half-Life is up your alley, this is the definitive version to own.

Portal 2, now, where to start. Well, this game can be pretty explanitory. Similar to its predeccessor, you shoot portals to get to seemingly unreachable places. Unlike its predeccessor, they added new mechanics, increased the game length, added more music (good music even), and more plot twists! And that's not all, but multiplayer, community made maps, MODS for hell's sake! This game also shows some history on the series villian and makes her seem more emphetic, which is why I think this game should win the "Villian Who Needs A Hug" award. Anything else? Well, soundtrack is downloadable for free and sales + overall low price make this game easily accessible, so if you haven't picked this game up, do it! You'll thank me later.

Cave Story + is an amazing game expected from Studio Pixel. It's chiptune soundtrack is amazing, has pretty 8 and 16-bit graphics, and maintains flow very well. If you like old-style games, or trying to get into the style, Cave Story + is just for you. There is also a challenge mode, multiple endings, and there is a second story. The characters have deep personality and you get attached to them. All in all, this is a great game that you should play.
