1. Lower your resolution
2. Download the "T7 Potato mode" to reduce high detail maps
(delete the no hit effects mod those are important feedback)
3. Download the No Fire FX on VS Screen" mod

My keybinds to simulate a box:
wasd
1 (right fist) - J
2 (left fist) - I
3 (right leg) - O
4 (left leg) - K
rest 3 fingers on J I O, middle finger goes between I and K

R1 and L1 are set to 9 and 0 - bound to 1+2 and 3+4
R2 and L2 are set to H and U - bound to 1+3 and 2+4
