Too many people are 'comparing' to the Sims which is unfair since the latter was in development like 10 years ago.
With that said, this one will likely destroy the Sims for people who like to make characters. The gameplay remains up in the air but this character creator is great and being that there will be mod support at the onset, I think this has a bright future.

Some cons: the performance seems quite bad so far. My machine is very strong and we're dealing with just a single character standing in empty space. There are no AI programs running, no large environments or other characters on screen. For it to run so sluggish, I fear for the full game. They can and will likely improve as they optimize it upon and right after release though so we'll see how it goes.
