I first got to play this what seems like ages ago, back in the days of my old handed-down win 98. Things were simplier then, pop in the disk and away you went to a wonderful game world. The story drew me in, and I could not help but sink hour after hour striving to better my character. But time has been cruel to this one fine game.
Obtained off steam on one of the many many sales, I thought it was a steal! My new-age Win 8 should be handle it. Yes, saw online a few minor problems here and there but should be able to figure them out. It was a lie. Money spent, and wasted before it even left my pocket. Hours spent tinkering, all for naught.
Would I buy this game, yes. Yes, I would IF I had a promise of it working the way it should. It is a wonderful RPG, one that my own children enjoyed when I managed to get the first level to work correctly. But, until either steam comes out with a patch/fix/undate to correct win 7-8 issues, or I somehow snag and get running another old machine running XP, this is one game that will only be running in my memories.
