Great remake of an already good beat 'em up that came out on SNES originally.

This has redrawn sprite art, 2 new playable characters and a whole bunch of other quality of life improvements.

Highly recommended if you like beat em ups.

The best in a great series, at least in terms of combat. V's playstyle is a neat experiment and serves as a solid entrypoint, Nero is a good medium and Dante's combat is probably as deep as you're going to get in this genre.

A game where they more you put in, the more you get out of it, and beating the game is basically the point where you only really start learning the game. but it's still pretty approachable for newcomers.

It looks great, tons of replayability and lots of style.
Highly recommended.

As someone who's played all the Hitman games I think this is the best Hitman game yet. (2nd would be Blood Money for me)

Lots of content, great levels with tons of freedom and opportunities.

The episodic structure actually works to the game's benefit, in that it helped me realize how much content there is in each map instead of just blasting through each level once and calling it a day.

Game is catching a lot of flak for requiring you to be online, but I've had no real issues with that in all the time I put into it.

Probably my favourite game of 2016.

The Legend of Korra is a character action game by Platinum Games, the developers of games like Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance.

Korra is essentially that same type of game, just on a lower budget. Basically there's less of everything (weapons/levels/enemy types) but what is there is solid.

The game is based on the Legend of Korra cartoon, which is the sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Ironically this game might cater more to fans of action games than fans of the Korra cartoon, as the main focus clearly is the core combat which is very solid, while most other aspects of the game like the story are very bare bones.

At first sight the games might seem short, but like most Platinum games, the first playthrough essentially sort of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as a tutorial for the higher difficulties, as you understand the game better and your upgrades/unlock carry over.

In summary: a Platinum Games action game on a budget, which is mostly offset by the lower price point.

Recommended.

Gods Will Be Watching is essentially a collection of survival scenarios tied together with a story, where you manage your resources, while testing the limits of your morality.

I recommend playing on the original difficulty, despite the developer patching in other more forgiving difficulties later as the unforgiving and bleak nature of the game actually ties into the scenarios and story quite well.

Recommended if you're looking for something unique.

A nice sendoff for this adventure game series,

I strongly recommend playing the other Blackwell games first, as this one wraps up the overall story.
It's a classic style point and click adventure game, that avoids most of the more frustrating missteps of the genre like pixelhunting, mazes, illogical puzzles, etc.
This one probably has the best production values out of the Blackwell games, it's neat to see how they've gotten better in that sense, the commentary tracks they all have provide some interesting insight into the production as well.

One of the better modern point and click adventure games,

Recommended.
