It's an absolute failure as a Battlefield game. Do not buy this piece of ♥♥♥♥, save your money, time and nerves.

DICE worked very hard on taking out fun and distinctive parts that defined the franchise.

Specialist system is a disgusting mess that killed defined roles on the battlefield, removed any chance of enemy recognition, and pruned any instances of spontaneous teamwork prominent in the series. Specialist abilities are unbalanced and gimmicky.

Map selection is very limited, and maps themselves somehow manage to be less detailed and creative than BF5 or BF1. Map design is atrocious, with wide open spaces, chronic lack of cover and non-existent flow. Destructive environment is extremely lacking, another step back for the series.

Weapon repertoire is also quite disappointing, especially when it comes to launchers. There's no claymores, no javelin, no stationary MGs or launchers. Furthermore, weapon progression system is quite boring, with a lot of essentially identical attachments.

Gunplay is atrocious, and an unbelievable downgrade compared to BF5. Weapons have extreme bloom, shooting is inaccurate, plus hitreg issues are very prominent.

Movement also suffered a downgrade. No more leaning, laying on your back, crouch sprinting, diving.
BF2042 has probably the worst infantry gameplay in the series.

Vehicle balance is scuffed. Most egregious offender is the hovercraft. It's fast, it destroys most covers just by looking at them, it takes three launcher or tank shell hits to destroy, it basically cannot be taken out with firearms. This thing just farms roadkills.

That's gameplay.
Everything around gameplay is even worse.

There's no server browser.
There's no scoreboard.
There's no stats.
There's no assignments.
There's no global chat.
There's no VOIP.
There's no squad or team switching.
Lobbies disband after each game.
UX is extremely convoluted when it comes to basically any menu interaction.

Do not buy this abortion of a game.

Fantastic little puzzle game with simple and fun gameplay loop, very minimalist in UI and presentation.

Clean graphics and soothing music, combined with lack of timers or resource management, make it quite relaxing, yet challenging in later islands. Laid back and soothing.

Possibly the best incest simulator on the market.

Not as extraordinary as the Asylum and City, but still quite a nice game all around. The Christmas atmosphere resonates with Burton-era movies.

This game provides you with neverending gory medieval fun. Dynamic combat, nice graphics, solid sound. Play and rejoice.
Deadliest warrior expansion is fun at times, but extremely buggy. The pace of combat is higher, but the combat itself tends to be somwhat clunky. Try the base game first.

The gameplay itself is mediocre and tad boring, but music and narration make the game grand.

For some reason Ubisoft introduced some really annoying mechanics in the game, such as tower defence. City once again is a bit boring, story is nice but clunky. Do not play if you are not a franchise fan.

The size of Rome is impressive, but sometimes it lacks distinctive characteristics for each area. Story became a bit boring. Still not a bad game.
