The first game i got legitimately anxious and terrified from, to the point where i couldnt even barely finish it.
The atmosphere and visuals are extremely eerie. The mechanics are sometimes a little tedious because i've been running back and forth between spots to try and figure out what i had to do next to progress. Which brings me to why i cant play this game - the movement. Its not bad, but it is nerve wrecking and absolutely horrifying. Something about not being able to move like you normally would in this kind of game, and with the way you dont control the actual speed is just scary. Its hard to put into words. The mechanics of the enemy are relatively straighforward though and there technically is barely any punishment for getting caught, but that somehow that didnt take away from the scare factor for me. I hate this game in the best way you could hate a horror game.

Fun little horror game that makes you jump a couple of times, and has a pretty good way of building atmosphere too. Short fun to kill some time with, or stream in a call to have fun with a friend.

Early Access Review
This game needs a pure pve mode very badly, PvP is very poorly balanced and can be frustrating if you dont pick "meta" classes. Having to commit 30€ to the game, when it definitely shows potential, but clearly isnt finished, only to be able to have more than 1 character, is very bad and intimidated players from sticking around.

PvE Dungeons and some adjustments to still have lingering danger and this game would be incredibly enjoyable.

This game is awesome.
While the negative reviewers do have a point about the past of this game, most of what they're saying is simply not an issue anymore. They could have improved this game more quickly and retained a bigger part of the playerbase, but as the game is now, it is a very good MMORPG. While the endgame can get monotone at times, especially if you don't like playing in groups with others, the leveling experience is amazing and there will always be something to do. There are of course part of locations that are just copy pasted to other locations, or built up similarly, but i don't think that is a big argument against the game, since every area still manages to be unique in one way or the other.

The people complaining about the new content mostly being focused around the 30€ DLC while mostly having hundreds if not thousands of hours are being unreasonable. The game is not subscription based and the base game costs less than 40€ so having an expansion priced at 30€ and the future of the game building up on that expansion is pretty standard. You can very easily play the game without the expansion first and then consider if it is worth it to you to spend the extra money, if you want to participate in the new Endgame content.
What sets this game apart from other MMOs is the combat, especially in pvp, which feels a lot better and more fluid than any other MMO i've played.
Buy it and see for yourself, the wave of negative reviews is undeserved.

Went in skeptical about it being a switch port. Was still disappointed.
This game is a downgrade to World in every single way. Movement feels very clunky, the key bindings are a nightmare to manage (and somehow even worse than in world - how??), and the UI is beyond ugly, like what I saw literally looked worse than in some mobile games i've seen.
Graphics wise i knew it was gonna be worse than world, given the hardware it was created for, but mechanically wise it has no excuse to be this bad compared to it. The maps are created with Palamutes in mind, which isnt a good thing since they are just spacious but uninteresting. Single player only missions are back in the form of Village Quests (a horrible relic of old Monster Hunter, which World had finally gotten rid of, except the annoying thing where you have to watch cutscenes first).
Really the only good thing i can say that it does objectively better is that cutscenes are now skippable. In every single regard (except maybe monster variety, but i didnt play long enough to actually experience it) it is straight up a downgrade and I really hope Capcom will see the financial success of World compared to Rise, and make Wilds more like World.
I know there are main line games and these games, but this is not good even with that in mind.

Not worth it, buy world, world is a masterpiece, this is a waste of money.
And inb4 all the people saying "World Fanboys comparing Rise to World are missing the point" - No. World is the objectively better game, deal with it, i dont care. Rise took all the bad parts of old Handheld Monster Hunter and brought them back into Modern Monster Hunter, and the result as expected.

This game is amazing
Once you learn how to deal with the, sorry, GODAWFUL camera, you are in for a treat, the gameplay and music overshadow the lack of story easily.
I mean there is story, its just nothing exceptional or anything, but it doesnt take away from the gameplay at all (Looking at you, BL3), and the cutscenes are really cool.
As some other reviewer pointed out, the game is really good at making you feel like you are better at the game than you actually are, which is a good thing, since the combat is really fluid and still, while rather simple overall, pretty skill based, since there is a lot of parrying and dodging involved if you want to get past certain bosses.
The game is however very short, but that is fine since every mission contains several and, for the most part, unique, bossfights, with lots of cool cutscenes and edgy cyborg ninja goodness.
Definitely a great game overall, and the soundtrack is legendary.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is without a doubt, one of the, if not the best game i have ever played in my lifetime.
It is a beautifully crafted tale about an outlaw finding his place in the world.
The game breathes life in every way. There is incredible attention to detail in pretty much every aspect of the game, and it all works pretty much flawlessly together.

As for the story, it is perfect.
This game makes you love characters, and then mercilessly rips them away from you. It is a tragic yet beautiful tale, and I loved every bit of the journey.
I wasnt one to play that many story focused games, and I guess this isnt a full on story only game, but it damn well told me the best story i have ever witnessed. And i think it will stick with me for the rest of my life.

There were a couple of bugs I encountered, mostly visual, which was a bit annoying during some scenes, but nothing game breaking, and it didnt take away from the experience all too much, still the best game i have ever played.

Edit: If you are buying this game for the multiplayer only, then dont bother.
Read Dead Online is trash when compared to the Singleplayer experience.
It suffers from the same faults as GTA Online does, which is other players griefing, hacking, terrible progression/unlocks, and no real purpose or goal, other than grinding levels and money to unlock new weapons, which is only really good to clown on other players, and pretty much useless anyway, if they decide to hack. RDO also crashes very often from my experience, and many details from the original Game are not found within the Online experience.
Its essentially mayhem to enjoy for a short while together with friends, but nothing I'd ever spend too much time on, not unlike GTA Online.

The Singleplayer makes more than up for it though, and this game remains an absolute masterpiece. I am confident to say that this is the best single player experience i have ever had, and certainly also the most moving.

Incredible gameplay and level design, however the characters (with the exception of Flynt) feel extremely bland and boring and their design is also way less interesting than what a Zer0 or a Krieg had to offer in BL2.

Many NPCs are also incredibly poorly written along with the story itself which I don't even dare to compare to the other BL games. The lack of a good story results and interesting characters really hurts the replayability of the game. Additionally Mayham mode makes all difficulties besides the initial normal one basically irrelevant since you can just scale the enemy level in normal mode and get way too many drops super quickly (even more if instanced loot is turned on, which should it shouldn't be but some people like it so whatever).

Kind of sad that they managed to ruin a great game like this with incompetent writers. Still recommended because of superb gameplay and gunfeel

Incredible potential, but no introduction whatsoever, questionable game balance and you get easily bored just walking around aimlessly.
Looking forward to future changes though.
