Played as Cao Cao, I took the Han emperor as a hostage and vassalized the empire and he decided to declare that my allies were enemies of the people and commanded me to kill them so I took a note out of Settra's book and had him executed and then conquered the empire.

I got kicked for cheating when I not only was NOT cheating but I also was in a custom game with friends so even if I was (which I wasn't) then who was even getting harmed?? It was probably a blessing in disguise because this game makes me want to rip my skin off and run rampant through my neighborhood as a skinless screaming psycho to permanently traumatize everyone who crosses my path. I hate you Behaviour Interactive.

This game left a hollow and sad hole in my heart. Uninstalling it actually felt like a breath of fresh air, it was like I was suddenly rejuvenated.

I love this game but I do not recommend getting into it if you enjoy fair consistent videogames. There will be times where the world generation will just never be in your favor and you will feel terrible at the game when in reality it was just pure RNG that you got the worst world generation this world has ever seen 30 times in a row. I hate that I like this game because this is a game that will never respect you. It is cruel, it is mean, and it will never change. It is like I am in an abusive relationship.

This game started off so fun but it quickly fell off due to the following:

- flamethrower burn lasts way too long considering the amount of damage it does
- the terrible hitboxes make head glitching and sniping veryyyy hard to deal with
- the mmr is god awful
- light builds are ridiculously powerful

When me and my friends first started playing it was a blast! We had good games, fun and awesome moments, it was awesome! We won a lot of games but still lost the occasional game, but it was all fun. that was 30 hours of playtime ago. I have had very few enjoyable games after that. Me and my friends get completely steamrolled all the time now. It's impossible to play this game casually now. There is no fun. There is no casual gameplay. You have to be trying as hard as you can to just end in 2nd at best.

So much potential and it feels like it was flushed down the drain due to hardcore meta loadouts, no leniency, hardcore sweaty games where it is genuinely stressful to play.

Edit: I think the reason it feels this way is just due to aimbots and cheaters, which is why it feels so difficult. Quite unfortunate.

I originally hated this game when I first played it due to the learning curve and confusing UI on console (I first played this game on my PS4) but one player managed to change my whole perspective on this game.

I was playing with my friend and a bunch of random people on a public world as Wigfrid because she had a cool spear and helmet. I didn't know how to do anything on my own, barely knew how to craft, and overall was not having a fun time. Within the first 5ish days I had run out of resources and was completely isolated from everyone else. I had a campfire that was running out and I was close to starving. During the night my campfire died as I had no fuel to keep it running, so charlie ended up killing me.

I was right about to just get off and play something else when out of the darkness, a random player emerged. It was someone playing Warly. I remember his charming smile as he stumbled upon my famine ridden mangled corpse, crafted a telltale heart, revived me, gave me a booster shot, fed me seasoned meatballs, and then disappeared. I was so bewildered and caught off guard by this that I had to keep playing. I thanked him on the game chat but he said nothing. After he nursed me back to health he disappeared and we went out separate ways in the world.

I met up with my friend as he set up a base. He taught me how to make meatballs and how to kite when fighting things. After I was confident enough, I started going out on solo hunting expeditions for food, usually luring beefalos away from a herd and slaughtering them. I became extremely good at food production, I always had plenty of meatballs in storage and on hand. The base was flourishing. Other randoms came to our base and we were thriving. Except for one random, the mysterious warly.

One day I bit a little more than I could chew. While trying to single out a beefalo from a herd I accidentally aggro'd the entire herd, and the beefalo surrounded and killed me after a sloppy kiting attempt. I was pretty demoralized, but my friend assured he could revive me. He said that he would have to look for the resources the next day, so I spent most of the day staring at my corpse as a ghost, feeling bored and helpless, angry at my sloppy movement.

Suddenly, right as the sun was about to set and night was going to hit, a man appeared on my screen, carrying a portable crockpot and a seasoning station. He immediately placed a campfire as night hit, revived me, gave me a booster shot, fed me meatballs, and watched over me until the sun rose. Then, just like before, he just walked away and disappeared.

A week later winter had arrived. I wasn't prepared at all, I didn't know thermal stones were a thing, and I was running out of resources fast. During a desperate solo expedition for food and materials I ended up freezing to death. Then, to add insult to injury, a hound wave was approaching, so my friend was way too occupied defending the home front to revive me.

I was ready to just finally hop off and play something else, when again, out of literally nowhere, through freezing weather, hounds, and night time approaching fast, Warly stepped out of the shadows. He revived me, fed me a booster shot, gave me meatballs, placed a campfire, gave me an extra thermal stone, and used my battle spear to perfectly kite and kill every single hound that attacked us. He then crafted some random unique Warly food item for me, I assume as a parting gift, and then he pulled out a walking stick and sprinted away at the speed of light, and I never saw him again.

I don't know who this mysterious Warly player was, but you are genuinely the only reason I continued to play this game. It is now one of my favorite games of all time. You made me feel safety, security, and hope in a world full of horrors, starvation, insanity, and dread.
