Worst version of Tetris you can possibly buy. The porn and the dialogue is not worth it.

Sadly there isn't a middle ground for reviews, it's either Yes or No. So if you're trying to warn potential buyers of issues that are present in a game you're going to give it a negative review, because if you leave a positive review a potential buyer will think it was an enjoyable experience. So with that in mind, yes, in my experience the game has performance issues, it stutters, it slows down and speeds up, and it did impact my enjoyment of the game. Some say it gets better the longer you play, as that allows the shader cache to build up, but that hasn't been happening for me. As for the game on it's own, it's absolutely wonderful. It is everything I've ever wanted out of a video game, and I would say it's worth the full price, but in it's current state, it's better to wait for future patches or to play on consoles.

Kind of wish there was a "Maybe" recommendation for these things. This collection is a mixed bag to be completely honest. All the games run amazingly, you do get the silky smooth 60 fps action that you crave, however Devil May Cry 1 and 3 (the best ones) have glaring graphical issues not present in the original PS2 versions. Devil May Cry 1 is missing motion blur, and certain visual effects, and yeah I get it boo motion blur, but the motion blur used in Devil May Cry 1 was used to emphasize certain actions, and cutscenes that relied on the motion blur now look weird and unfinished without it. Devil May Cry 2 is fine. Devil May Cry 3 is okay for the most part, however the most noticeable issue is that the transparency on hair and a few other objects is completely messed up, and it just makes close up shots look really bad. For a "Definitive HD Release" it fumbled in the one place it shouldn't have and as a result made PS2 games look worse than they originally did. I would say don't buy this, but not everyone has a PS2 to play the original versions of these games, and this is the most accessible version of these games. Luckily this is the PC version and most of the issues related to textures in Devil May Cry 3 have fan made fixes for them and can be easily applied, however, a fan patch to restore the original graphical effects in Devil May Cry 1 does not currently exist, and I doubt NeoBards or Capcom are going to do anything about it seeing as these issues are present on the recent Switch releases.

However, despite the games looking worse than they did on PS2, they still play great, and you don't have to mod the game to make it work on PC like you do with the stand alone Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition. So I guess by those merits it's a functional port, but it could have been better.

This felt more like a job than a game I could sit down and enjoy. It also has this theme park like air to it like I can't take it too seriously.

It's the aftermath of World War III, Japan's over all population is at an all time low. There is a country wide mandate that all female schools must have one male student to promote population growth. Cut to you, you just moved out of your parent's place to attend College, things are looking up, you're finally going places, that's until you get a call from your aunt. She tells you that you're being placed in an all girl's school. You know what this means, but there's nothing you can do about it, you already paid the costs to move out and to attend school. How bad could it be, it can't be that bad you tell yourself. You walk into class, it's an empty room save but one girl and a teacher. The teacher makes you introduce yourself to the empty room, it's probably the most awkward thing you've done. You talk to your classmate for a bit, and then class is dismissed. You wander the empty halls searching for any signs of life, but there are none. No one is here. These halls are empty until you go back to class. You continue this for days, weeks, years, and yet you never really understand your purpose.

It's not hard because you're not good enough, it's hard because you need to take a different approach.
