I played Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate on Wii years ago and couldn't get into it. MH: Rise has made me want to go back and play all the games. While I do think the monsters in this game aren't particularly challenging, they do still offer an amazingly fun experience (not Khezu) that keeps me coming back for the grind. If the slower pace of the series prior to this release had you disinterested, I would highly recommend you pick this up.

For as much bad reputation Absolver gets, It is not a terrible game, it's actually quite an amazing game. the game mainly focuses its efforts on the advanced hand-to-hand combat system rather than graphics, albeit highly stylised. The game may come off as challenging at first but actually just turns out to be a tough learning curve. To say this game is flawless is wrong. Absolver does have its minor hickups from time to time. But no glitches that break the game aside from an audio bug that makes the background music double over itself increasing the volume but can easily be solved by restarting the game. The fighting system can be tailored to anyone due to the 4 different fighting styles and dozens of interchangable moves. Absolver has its flaws and the developers are not being particullary avid in updating the game. I had enjoyed my time playing and Absolver had kept me preoccupied for quite a while. Absolver did not take a step in the right direction, It had taken a leap and I feel that Absolver will be one of the stepping stones in the right direction for future fighting games to come.
