I liked it, Good gameplay, Good remake.

I am disappointed at how they cut some of the vibes the OG gave though, they removed some of the crazier scenes and some of the goofy parts like villains jacking into your comms to trash talk or the giant ramon statue chasing you .

They also changed some of the motives for characters like saddler to make it more simple but it doesn't make sense in some areas? Idk

Oh actually one thing I haven't seen anyone talk about is how in the original you could "examine" parts of the environment and it would show in text form what Leon thinks about it which in the remake it's either gone or when it's there Leon either doesn't say anything or says what he thinks out loud which doesn't make much sense ( except the throne bit which is cool ). Actually come to think of it a lot of games had the character's inner thoughts as text in the past and now no new games do it.

Even after all of these issues and ramblings I had I still think it's a pretty good remake and while it doesn't capture the Exact tone the original had, it still has it's own vibe and I think that's the most important part.
