I've had the game for 5 days and already put in 50 hours. It has ruined my life.

It's Left 4 Dead 2. What more do you want me to say?

The story is a personal struggle between Artyom and the antagonist, which is an interesting change of pace from 2033. Sadly Last Light lacks the atmosphere and pacing of the original, and level design is much much much worse. It's more of an action game, but not a particularly great one. Fine by itself, not recommended compared to the other game.

It's Blender. It's industry capable. It's professional. It's difficult to get in to. It's like nothing you've experienced before. Prepare yourself for Blender.

As a player who really enjoyed the paranormal and worldbuilding aspects of TREPANG2, sadly this DLC didn't quite do it for me. The two missions were varied with the solid gameplay that TREPANG2 does the best. However, it feels like the supernatural horror-inspired aspect of the game are dialled back. You never really feel utterly out of your depths like you do in the main campaign. I never had a, "Oh what the ♥♥♥♥?" Moment. I'm not sure. It's fine. Buy it on sale. If you are a player like me you will might find the two missions a little lacklustre for the price.

I'm playing on Hardcore Ranger mode and it feels like this game is designed to ruin all my good efforts. I sneaky sneaky'd through some enemies to get an optional objective item, which was in-front of a demon nest, so I went at night and caught the demon sleeping. "Not a problem!" I thought, foolishly, as I went to use the interact button, then the protagonist *stands up* in direct view of the demon and does a cute little animation while the demon wakes up and starts clawing his face off.

I didn't die but I had to spend a ton of resources needlessly, that wasn't a mistake from me, that was the developer not realising the player might be sneaking at night - as the many characters directly before this moment told them to do. That's a microcosm of this game's design, it does not respect my time or intention and I'm constantly having to fight the designers to have any amount of fun.

I also went exploring the first open world section, like a fool. It turns out I shouldn't have done that because, due to the game's awful three auto-saves mechanic, I'm actually now trapped in a corner of the map surrounded by enemies with no meaningful means of escape. Now I have to either, somehow find a way to kill or sneak past them without dying or wasting all my resources, turn down the difficulty (which if I have to do that then why even design an open world with Hardcore Ranger mode?), or restart the entire thing over again. I would accept it if it was clearly obvious that exploring was going to do this but I was directed to explore, now these 'fun' open world systems have come together in a perfect moment of crap that has ruined my saves.

I've asked for a refund. I don't think I'll be completing this.

Early Access Review
A pretty good game saved by great mods. I enjoy PZ but wouldn't play it without the community's support, and a cheat mod for when my character just refuses to do what I tell them to. PZ is great fun with friends and mods but has a ton of jank that will result in a ton of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-feeling deaths. Some deaths become avoidable but some, like being attacked by a zombie and my character just refusing to jump through a window and being mauled to death, are absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Steam randomly recommended this game to me in the Steam pop-up upon launch. Post Void is a hecking fast paced shooter with interesting pixel art style, focused on quick reflexes and thinking on your feet. If you've played Devil Daggers from a few years ago, this is a similar premise; 1 life to run 11 randomly generated levels. Whilst choosing an upgrade between levels, and new enemies being constantly introduced.

This game is hard, but rewarding and really hooks into that 'one more run' mentality. I'd highly recommend if you love fast paced games, shooters, or just want to try something new. Though beware the flashing lights if you're photosensitive, the game does have a mode which limits them though.

The only complaint I have is the frame-rate can drop quite hard on a i7 6700k and 2060 set-up. Outside of that, it's a great game!
