SO I have reserved my Review only because I wanted to complete everything and dear god is it worth it. The game is almost exactly the same. Obviously there is gonna be some serious porting issues from xbox to pc especially on older exclusive games.
However this is the early 2ks best out of nowhere game. None of the early "we are changing the game" games came even close. When this game came out the crits panned the ♥♥♥♥ outta of it for its "Lack luster" Tutorial and its difficulty spikes...once more However that is what makes this game so amazing.
It dares you to come and try to master both the RTS aspect, the RPG aspect, AND the hack and slack Aspect. Each Character is unique and beyond amazing with compelling reasons why they are doing what they are doing. The story, the mythos, the set up at the end is amazing. I want a PROPER sequel to the Heroes.
The game does suffer from awful early 2k dialogue and actually paying attention to whats being said even in the tutorials. if you don't the game will punish you and its a hard lesson to learn. I will always come back to play this game it was my childhood and is still an amazing game.

To the bad port people I will simply state the game is finally being seen and able to play without paying major money and having a old school xbox be happy we still have it. I thought this game was lost to time and I was seriously the only one who remember it.

If you are considering buying it do. The hours apon hours you will spend returning wondering if you can save certain units or if this mix up of powers on that unit will work better. You owe it to yourself if you have never played this serious gem to buy it. I don't like pushing people to buy but we need a proper sequel and for those who know CIRCLE DOESNT COUNT!!!

Welcome to STO, Finally sto has reached a golden age. This game has been rough for many years but now finally its good, no its so much more then good. It's well written you can ACTUALLY SEE effort and love done by gearbox to return the essences of Star Trek to the Game.

This is apart of Star trek's continuing story. All CANON. Your characters, which ever side in someway is canon. They don't treat you like a child instead showing you the star trek universe in all it's glory. I would love to give a 100% perfect review...I can't and simply won't because even as good as it is, It's not perfect.

Best thing in the game:
It feels like Star trek. From the ships to the locations to the star maps it is a star trek universe I love losing myself in. RP has really been taking into consideration and the visual are sometimes out right inspiring!

Pros:
Hella customization
RPG that actually work and reward your for learning them
Mixed Classing GOLDMINE!

Cons:
PVP = PTW its that simple.
Zen coins are stupidly hard to get without paying for them and ship costs are outright unreasonable.
Dilithium is a thing (this is pre burn so shut your mouth). and CAN'T be traded between characters, also you only have 8k per character, a day unless you are a Lifetime subscription which makes grinding Dilithium a chore. (not a minor chore either like I seriously rage quit sometimes because I can't do the grinding)

Worst thing in the game:
Zen Coins and the cost of ships
