A man walks into a bar...

A man walks into a bar. He asks the bartender for a drink. Before the bartender can fulfill his order, the man is impaled by an arrow.

"GET DOWN, MISTER PRESIDENT!" An undercover bystander screams, tackling the bartender to the ground.

The bartender, who is also the president, is escorted away safely by the Secret Service.

Also, the president is actually a penguin. Everyone is a penguin. This takes place within a society of penguins. This is not relevant.

You wake up in your bed. It's the penguin bartender president dream again. You lie in bed for a while, once again left to ponder the meaning of the dream.

I've been playing this game since release, and boy has it received a facelift.
Dead by Daylight is a fun game and well worth the low price, but I won't pretend it hasn't got its issues.

Pros:

Variety of fun and unique characters that play differently.
Licensed characters are faithful recreations of the originals, and the love shows. (Except Freddy, LMAO.)
In-game currency is handed out like candy and content doesn't take too long for new players to unlock.
Frequently updated with new content & patches and the gameplay never gets too old.
Chases are thrilling and tons of fun while stealth killers turn the game into a genuine horror experience.

Cons:

Solo survivor players are at a massive disadvantage compared to teams.
A handful of oppressive Killers, perks, items & addons dominate the meta.
Core design flaws encourage unfun strategies and "playing dirty" to keep up.
Developers are hesistant to address core issues and apply patchwork solutions.
Community falls into a toxic "killers mains vs survivor mains" mindset that turns the blame on other players.
