Me and my girlfriend were playing "We Were Here," our favorite puzzle game, on a rainy Friday night. Usually, it brought us closer, but tonight my girlfriend seemed distant.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

She sighed. "I feel like we're always in separate worlds, even when we're together. I need more than just this game."

I paused, heart sinking. "Are you saying you want to break up?"

Tears welled in her eyes. "I think we need some time apart to figure things out."

The game continued in the background, but our own real-life puzzle had just begun.

And that's how I got dumped playing "We Were Here" with my girlfriend.
