I want to say I am reviewing this a bit prematurely purely to make suggestions to the dev. So far the game has been okay, but I felt like it could be better with these changes:
1) Add some quests that don't revolve around the main quest. Maybe they exist, but I have yet to encounter any; and please do not make them just "go do a dungeon".
2) Make weapons scale with stat(s).
3) Make some items require more than one stat (optional and may go against the theme).
4) Make some of the abilities passive as there are too many activated (since they all are), and it severely limits how many you can use at any given time.
4a) Some of the passives only work when you are devoted to that deity.
5) Rework the abilities into a tree (optional). This would let you have upgrades to abilities.

Right now I don't really feel any reason to devote myself to a deity as there are no abilities I feel like I need to spam, and the downside doesn't seem worth it. Giving some additional passives (or maybe even active abilities that can only be used if you are devoted) would increase the incentive. Also it feels like everything revolves around the deities right now which is weird outside of their settlements. Seriously nobody needs anything in Moon-Upon-Thoss? Seems unlikely.

Before 1.7 it was below par imo, but 1.7 was a massive update that I think brought it up into the positive. The game still has quite a few flaws (and some of them are large), but it does an okay job.
I would highly recommend Better Politics Mod as it takes something the game does decently (internal politics) and takes it up to another level maybe even two.

The military system is honestly not very good. I wouldn't call it awful, but sometimes you really feel it when your troops magically teleport across the globe back to HQ or get stuck retreating forever.
I'm glad they tried something different for the war, but it's tolerable at best though war is not the focus of the game imo.

This DLC is required to form a hybrid or divergent culture which should be a free feature. Thumbs down purely on that.

How's royal court itself? I like the visuals and the immersion the court concept provides, but you don't really spend much time in the court screen; and the artifacts added just make you more powerful with little downside or cost. The different court types and court language feature are kind of neat,

Oh yeah they want $30 for this ♥♥♥♥ which is ludicrous just to unlock hybrid cultures. This is worth no more than $20, and it's an insult.

I know that I am late to this game, and I cannot believe that I am about to write this review.

You had an amazing music system and an incredible soundtrack that system elevated to dare I say the best soundtrack of ALL TIME, and you threw all that away. What the ♥♥♥♥ did you do to the audio team? Not a single song (that I have heard so far) can even get me excited, and almost every single song on the Redout 1 OST can get my adrenaline going.

The gameplay is wonderfully improved; but dear god if you're going to put out the most mid soundtrack of all time, at least let me play the Redout 1 songs. This review would be negative if you didn't substantially improve the gameplay (which you did).
I'm confused why you removed instakill mode considering it works perfectly with the new boost system. You have "arena race" instead, but that does not capture the essence of instakill at all.

Oh you should have made durability 2 different stats (one for health and one for max heat) which would have added another meaningful layer to the stats.

Love the aesthetic, the design space, and many of the effects. The names of the dice are wonderful as well.
Whoever made Austra is the most sadistic person on earth. Almost every effect Austra has is even more random than you might expect: she has dice that turn into other, random dice, and her unique effects are all about randomness.
I'm assuming I need to complete a run with her to unlock more things, but it's awful to play her. Once I got the hang of things, I beat most characters' runs on my first try. I will probably get there eventually, but Austra is a blackhole amongst the stars.

I'm not here to complain about the grind or the economy or whatever because I only played the game with premium time (part with the 7 days of free premium and some purchased with steam funds).

I'm here to talk about the gameplay (of most tier 1 and tier 2 vehicles), and I did make a video analyzing all of the tier 1 non-premium vehicles.

1) Vehicles are not pitted vs each other based on historical period or even vehicle attributes both of which are fairly objective (though you could fudge the numbers a little); they are rated based on PLAYER PERFORMANCE. This is a horrifically bad way to balance the game and is very evident for French vehicles. They will get some American vehicles that are identical to those in the US tree, but they'll be a higher battle rating. Why? French players (on average anyway) are better players because a lot of the tier 1 French vehicles are abysmal, so only certain kinds of people will keep playing them. They basically give you a giant middle finger just for playing one of the least played nations which is seemingly the opposite of what you would want to do.

2) HE is not modeled properly. Now this might not sound like a huge deal since "who is using HE?", but this applies to APHE as well which is one of the most common (and deadly) ammo types for lower tier vehicles. Here's how Gaijin thinks HE works: a sphere. Here's how HE (when moving) actually works: a cone. Now this might not seem like a big deal at first, but it makes it so HE can hit crew members and vehicle modules perpendicular to the path of the projectile which is very unlikely IRL. This makes especially British but also French and US vehicles much worse than Soviet or German vehicles just because of ammo which is not factually correct at all. AP creates spalling in a cone much like APHE would when detonating inside a vehicle. Hell, Britain even specifically tested this and found APHE was comparable most of the time and not worth the extra cost and hassle of making it instead of AP.

3) No matchmaking at all. This makes it so you can get multiple people who are level 100 (thousands of hours in game) fighting against brand new players. Since WT is free they could technically just make a new account and do a similar thing, but they don't even try to hide it. I got shot by a guy around a kilometer away in my spawn 8 times in a row while I was moving. Now granted he didn't really do any damage because of the distance, but I'm sure you can imagine how a player like this makes the game extremely unfun. This happens at any BR I played from 1.0 to 4.0.

4) No ground mode. There is a mode called "ground", but what that really means is "ground plus air". Now depending on the vehicle you're driving, many planes won't be able to hurt you at all unless they have bombs. The problem is that most ground vehicles cannot fight back against planes at all and lower tier anti-air vehicles have little to no armor and get shredded by planes anyway. I've had many rounds where I died and spawned in my second vehicle just to get instantly gunned or bombed by multiple planes at once. It's not quite as bad as ground vehicle spawn camping since at least they have markers on the map, and you know where they are; but planes don't have any of this (plus you probably can't shoot them anyway).

5) "Realistic" and "Simulator" are laughably unrealistic. The most obvious examples are the shot X-ray cam anytime you hit someone's vehicle (yes even in simulator) and hitting an enemy in smoke with your machine gun marks them on the map for your team. I don't understand how people can make fun of WoT or arcade mode when ♥♥♥♥ like this is in their precious "R"B.

I like the slower game play of this compared to many multiplayer games, and there are some really unique and interesting vehicles; but the problems above are too much for me (on top of the grinding issues I mentioned at the beginning). The problem is there is really no competitor for this game, so you either go find something else or keep eating the ♥♥♥♥ they put onto your plate.

Anmeldelse fra tidlig tilgang
Currently a nice little mashup between an old flash game and some Castlevania references, but I would like to see different game modes or objectives besides just "survive 30 minutes" especially when the 20-27 minute section is usually a cake walk. I think the game has potential, and it's plenty of fun for the current price of 3$.

I am currently still playing at the time of this review and have no idea when I will be finished, but I must say the game has been excellent so far with multiple twists.
If you're into card games, I think it's a must buy; and it's also pretty good if you're into tabletop RPGs I would imagine.
Will update as I play more, but I cannot imagine the game gets worse from here since the director has shown they know what they're doing.
I really enjoyed the different sections and the variety they offered, but I was kind of bummed it ended when it did. There was a little tease at the end, and I wish it was more fleshed out.

First off this is a sequel to Subnautica, so you will likely be confused and spoiled if you haven't played the original first. I would have said to play this game before; but in hindsight, it's unfathomably bad and ruins subnautica. Avoid no matter who you are and just play the original.
Pros:
-new/different things (which I expect in a sequel)
This includes new biomes (doesn't just reuse the old ones), new tools, new vehicles, new base modules, etc.
-protagonist is voiced and has motives for being here
-other characters that you actually meet
-fairly large on-land sections which didn't exist in the original

Cons:
-map is mostly vertical
This means once you have explored a bit, you kind of know where everything is already; you simply need to upgrade your stuff to go into a deeper part of the biomes you already know. This makes new areas feel less original and more of just resource deposits as there isn't much to find in them usually.
-story doesn't really build any tension
There doesn't feel to be any sense of urgency or increasing drama or emotion as you uncover more things which is common in many mystery games. This isn't necessarily a problem, but it makes the game feel kinda "flat".
-fauna feels less dangerous
Now this could be just because I already had experience with some of the creatures from the original and knew how to avoid danger, but there were creatures in the original that were legitimately threats to you that could make situations feel much more tense or scare some people. I didn't feel like this with any of the fauna in Below Zero. Even if they looked intimidating or made strange noises, they were never dangerous; they would do some minor hull damage to my vehicle and nothing more. There were 2 or 3 fauna in the original that could destroy your vehicles or at least threaten them and potentially kill you if you were out of your vehicle.
-still only 5 hotbar slots
They added even more tools in this one, and you absolutely needed at least like 7 slots for your most used tools in the original. You shouldn't need a mod for basic UI functionality imo.
-lighting is a little bright
In the original, there was a film light filter you could enable which made night time and deep areas actually BLACK which you can't really get in this one. Even the deepest area is still traverseable without turning on your vehicle lights which is bizarre. I guess this is why there's no radar like there was in the original either.
-no cyclops
This is not really a con because they should use different vehicles and solutions in a sequel, but there is nothing remotely similar to launching the prawn suit out of the cyclops which was 10/10. I wish the seatruck had a like mini moonpool or something which would be close.
