For an update that should have came out awhile ago it's disappointing. There is nothing for returning players to chase or do as they have done it already. The game needs some new content aside from a 10 minute rush mission to gain more of a playerbase.

It's weird to say I've never been more pissed that there is too much to do in a video game. So much stuff I haven't seen on my 1st play through that I'm starting to see on my 2nd. The only problems i started to see only really occurred in act III so it was just a little annoying rather than game breaking. (Pathing wise, my characters would jump into sometimes invisible walls or to their deaths.)

This is one of those games your friend tells you to buy and only play once or twice, the war passes also insanely blow.

Wow, just wow. This game has so much presentation it's stunning. I would love nothing more than an endless mode to keep playing with Leshy.

Gotta say, Destiny isn't special anymore. I never expected that when i joined in season of arrivals that Destiny would lose it's allure. The seasonal gameplay loop has really come down to grab a team of 6 and just shoot gally or sunshot nonstop. Even the legendary campaigns are becoming like seasonal activities, not to mention that seasonal activities are also strikes now lol. I don't even care about the server problems right now for the release of the final shape. The gameplay that excited me just isn't there anymore, exotics don't mean anything and getting them isn't cool either. Last word had the coolest exotic mission and there just hasn't been anything similar really. If there is "new content" its just rebranded d1 or d2 content that was shelved and has one or two changes. Despite me not doing Pantheon I still wish it was here, it was really something that breathed some life in this game as it wasn't another shoot stuff and bank activity, which is what onslaught was. Another sloppy driven horde mode, which Destiny should have had for awhile now. I used to play Destiny as it was something to grind, now i can play it for one day and be max light, not that light matters anymore. Witch Queen was the Best expansion that came out and the same one that doomed the game with crafting. Crafted weapons along side expansion light gaps literally killed the grind of the game. The last two expansions (even without doing Final Shapes raid) just feels like copy and paste content with minimal creativity. Rhulk was the coolest raid boss? Alright lets copy his format and make Tormentors a new enemy/raid boss. Oh nevermind let's just make mini Rhulks and call them omens along side reskinned psions and the most basic looking flying imp. Bungie had the chance to try something new but really just made a 50$ expansion feel like a free update. Prismatic feels so underwhelming, it should have just been a subclass rework and a new darkness subclass at the same time. I could never recommend that anyone plays this game even with the great deal they have for every expansion at 25$ right now. With 1200 hours on pc and prob 500 on xbox, It feels like I just got spat on for playing up to this point.

For the older fans, this can be an enjoyable game to play, for newer players it can seem annoying. As it has the old combat system based on agility and such for those who enjoyed that function but, added a new continuous turned based combat system into the game and rather than controlling one character you now control a squad of brotherhood soldiers of all shapes and sizes. In typical fallout fashion you have the option to create or choose a preset character, of course they are all the generic smart, strong, charismatic or an agility sided character. ( I recommend you choose agility and intelligence but hey that`s my opinion! ) The continuous turn based combat can be turned off the new turn based system and is very recommended as you will not have the reaction time to fight back. Also new to the combat system is the stance mechanic, it is very simple as it is divided between 3 stances. Starting off with standing, - normal starting stance, can run to places and provides tallest sight line, no additional accuracy bonus. Up next is crouching, - provides a sneak and accuracy bonus as well as a defense bonus to your squad while also providing a movement and sight penalty. Enemies/NPCs also gain a melee accuracy bonus on the unit crouching but vise versa against guns. The last stance is proning, - Proning leads to a more significant accuracy bonus and provides the best defense against npcs with guns. Sneak skill is also vastly increased compared to crouching. In contrast the melee accuracy against units in the prone position is higher than an enemy that is crouched and overall sight + movement is greatly reduced. All stances require agility points to change to but do so in an annoying way, going from standing - crouching = 2AP, standing - proning = 4AP and for those new players the amount of AP you have depends on your overall agility. If you made it to this part of my boring ass review it means you are actually considering it and might be wondering why I`ve only been talking about combat. There is no speech skill in this game. Weird right? A fallout game with no speech? The only reason fallout tactics still has charisma in the game is for bartering with the quartermaster for brotherhood currency or tribal currency. other than that it serves no visible services. If you like the older fallouts way of combat this is the game for you but be aware of its bugs and aggressiveness towards brahmin you randomly encounter and are forced to fight or retreat. random encounters are also very frequient so it's best to up the outdoorsmen skill set. if you like the speech moments of fallout stick to 1, 2 or new vegas because your not gonna find it here.
