Not bad at all! and It's free! in-game purchases arent really pushed on the player either.

Levels are designed for replayability and are structured to give a challenge based on which
enemies you're going up against, and which characters you're limited to.

Upgrading your base and your infantry really gives you a feeling of how stronger your army grows.

And to top it all off, it's METAL SLUG! One of the greatest series of pixel art fireball-punches us with a free
tower-defense-styled game. I'll take it!

Bumpin music to a fairly challenging game.

I was swearing and beating my fists every few levels, but the music and humourous characters kept
me in line. It's a lot more accomplishing after you've failed a level a few times and then FINALLY beat it
instead of winning your first try... If you catch what I'm saying.

Voice acting was a little off-putting though, seemed inappropriate for a game where you murder everyone.
A silent cutscene would of done it more justice.. but I still recommend it.

Not too hard, not too easy, not too shabby.

Level Editor would be AMAZING!

Honestly, it competes with games Like Megaman X for being my favorite game of all time.
It is so good that I can't even describe how awesome it is without writing a friggin' masters thesis on it.
I'll try to keep it short and to the point.

Start a character, start a generated world, mine generated ore, find generated treasures,
survive whatever the night throws at you, and build build build!

Whenever you seem satisfied with your caharcter and world combination, start over again!
One of the BEST features of this game are that you can transfer your character inbetween worlds.. so share your equipment and items between worlds as well.

Bosses are what balance the game. If you can't defeat a certain boss, you cant progress into certain areas and evolve your world any further. Prepare!

For newcomers, it might seem tough and confusing at first, but make a few worlds and play to your liking.
Hopefully you can find a Magic Mirror and a few +4 Defense accessory equipment for the first few bosses and goblin army.

Some other notes for newbies: (I know that this doesnt belong here but I'm not going to write a guide)
- Play the tutorial! It only lasts 5 minutes or so, and it teaches you some very important aspects, like making
proper houses for merchants and other NPC's.

- Harvest Mushrooms and Daybloom Immediately!!! They make important battle potions like Ironskin potion (+8 Defense) and Health regeneration potion.

- Use the Guide (In-game NPC), he's spawns right beside you when you start a new world. You can show him any item and he will show you what it can be crafted with, and crafted for.

- Defeat bosses multiple times. They drop very useful ores and weapons, as well as some fancy vanity equipment.

- Don't rush to "Hard-Mode." make it easier to get around your world with either teleporters, super highways, and/or tunnels and elevators with proper landings. Placing campfires and heart lanterns around custom made boss arenas, the jungle, and the dungeon will make it a lot easier when it has morphed into a hell realm.

I could go on and give some more tips, but a lof of Terraria should be about discovery.
It's too bad that looking up a few things online is essential to know everything about the game.

I have a few peeves about Terraria, but they are very minimal and don't change my opinion of the game at all.
As I said in my first sentence of all of this, Terraria battles a few other games in my opinion of possibly my favorite game of all time. I recommend it to anyone who has the slighest knack for videogames.

ENJOY!

This is the best game I've ever played,
And the music is perfect.
Period.
Don't question it.

I suck at the final level.

Something about this simple DOS-looking strategy game is just so... appealing... somehow.
It works.... and I DON'T KNOW HOW.
It might be the fact that every time I play it, everything is completely different, or It might be in the music alone.
But It's alright... When I spend (as of now) 18 hours playing this thing, I must admit, It's alright.
