I love this game to bits!! I know it's unbalanced with its cards, but heckie, it's so much fun!

I'll bet if this game didn't have you play as a cat, people would likely find it boring. The game is very short and to be honest, it wasn't very good. Cute? Yes, of course--cats are adorable... everybody loves cats, but the game itself only really shines with its very well emulated cat animations which was actually performed by a real cat. The game itself though? Eeeeh... nothing special. Very very overrated and overpriced.

Absolutely brilliant. The combat as well as general mobility such as web slinging to get around New York is so satisfying. It is out of this world enjoyable. If you have the money, you would frankly be a fool not to pick this one up.

I got to repeatedly whack my boyfriend into the wood repeatedly with a hammer. 10/10.

Enjoyable experience. It's nice that I can play my Prank-Kids deck much easier against real people which has been stifled due to the pandemic. I hope we can see Floowandereeze in the near future and the banning of Maxx "C".

Being someone who has clocked well over 3,000 hours in the original Super Monkey Ball games combined, I was really looking forward to this remake. After all, why wouldn't I be? I love Super Monkey Ball! Yet... I simply cannot recommend this game right now, why is that?

Well, to put it simply; there are two major flaws the game has that seriously hurt my experience playing the game.

Reason #1: The physics are not up to snuff. Slopes are far, far, far more punishing and powerful compared to the original. It's like trying to roll your ball up a mountain of butter. You can... kind of do it, but only if you literally face exactly in the direction you're intending to move, something that's not a problem in the original. Diagonal movement has been substantially nerfed, to the point where you go at almost half speed than if you were to simply move forward, again - something that did not exist in the original games. These issues are absolutely showcased how extreme it is when completing otherwise trivial stages, such as Soft Cream or Swing Bar Long. Try the original stages, then play them here. You'll understand what I mean.

Reason #2: The camera. I have tried fidgeting around with various different camera settings and I've also tried outright disabling it, but it still feels like the camera is actively fighting against you, making moving more precisely more difficult than it needs to be.

I simply do not understand how a game from 2001 outperforms a game released twenty years later in 2021 in terms of physics and overall fluidity. I do not care that the textures of this remake are generally worse either, or how awful the cutscenes are. That's not important to me. What IS important is how the game feels to play, and the game just feels really stiff and clunky. As of writing this review, I cannot in good conscience recommend it unless the issues above are addressed and fixed, because everything else about it is great. We have character customisation, plentiful party games, additional game modes, the lot... but right now, the game just doesn't feel good to play - sorry.

It's still a good game, so one may be wondering why I would not recommend the game? Well, it was certainly weaker than the other LiS strange games for starters, and it's just too short. The game simply does not justify the 50 quid pricetag. So, yeah. If it were like 15-20 quid? Sure. But 50? Absolutely not.

This is the greatest PC game of all time.

This is my first VR game if we aren't classifying VRChat as a game, as it is more of a social hangout than anything, and I must say that it is nothing short of incredible. I love how satisfying flinging stuff towards you with the Gravity Glove is, I love how I can grab Headcrabs while they jump, I love how I can pick up virtually everything, the general gameplay and the way the story unfolds is highly captivating.

However, it is not without its flaws of course, but it can only be applied to some players. I am having some pretty severe colourblind issues with the laser puzzle, and I also can't visually look at my Combine Rifle to see how much ammo is left in my clip without flipping up my inventory which can be a little tedious, and this game unfortunately lacks a colourblind accessibility setting. I am red-blind (Protanopia) and those can be rather problematic, but other than that? Yes, I would absolutely recommend this game if you own a VR headset.

The game is great and the final season will be completed. You can stop review bombing this game into oblivion.
