A bit better than Civ IV & Civ VI.
gameplay is pretty nice. singleplayer is fun, multiplayer even better, hot seat could work better but its still fun to get some beers and sit with your buddy for 8h!

Best game in the series for sure, gameplay is easy to learn, hard to master type of thing, soundtrack is good, optimalization is fine, you can run this game on a toaster.
