I have 2.6k hours in this game, and i own the game for many years now.

The state of the game at the moment is bad, and chances are it will never get better, in fact thinking back, its getting worse with every new patch.
There are so many bugs in the game, and they keep adding more, for example: until last patch we never had items NOT be able to go into a quick slot OR disappearing from quick slots and inventory (completely gone, vanished).
There are still bugs in the game that haven't been addressed since the begging of the game (still able to make a torch light bigger then a castle).
Buggy build systems where you can place 3 roofs but not the 4th, all while having good stability, and snapping points work ... sometimes.
Exploits like: punching a wall in 1st person allows you to see through the wall, also camera will clip into textures and allow you to see through walls and mountains.
Unable to use items from the shop because the game authentication server (not the server you are playing on) fails to communicate with the client (reconnecting solves it ... but not always).
Incorrect character movement that gets stuck aiming at a rock or tree after farming them.
Dodge, one of the more important mechanics is in the game, is useless and only works 1% of the time.
Mobs have quicker reflexes then Shroud, and will 180 no scope you in 0.1 seconds.
Incorrect hit box and meshes on mobs: getting stuck in animal texture while fighting them has been an ongoing bug from the begging of the game ... will never be fixed.
In-game followers getting stuck/buried in textures and not helping or even dying.

Overall, considering the state of the game and the zero chance it will get better, i DO NOT recommend this game ... unless you like punishment.
