The third best Shantae game I've played! (I have played 3 Shantae games)
Really good though, little rough in some areas compared to Pirates Curse and Half Genie Hero but still lotta fun and will go for 100% none the less.
Also I love mah boy Squid Barron so much, all my homies love Squid Barron

After getting the 100% I can safely say, yeah the game is still good, perfectly fine fun game. Just doesn't hold up anywhere near to Pirates curse or Half Genie Hero. Compared to them it's just, alright. A step back. It's incredibly easy even on the hardset mode with the hard mode outfit, only a couple places were challenging (the squid pit gauntlet, fun to suss that out). The final dungeon was incredibly disappointing. in PC and HGH the last levels were a challenging platforming gauntlet that put your balls to the wall as you made your way through them, making use of every mechanic you'd learned to the max, but this one was just like an early-mid game dungeon, very disappointing. The unique bosses were all just kinda bad bar 2 (Plant wife and hydra wife), the others have nothing going for them. The world itself feels very claustrophobic and small when travelling through the ruins, which "hurr durr they're underground ruins" but compared to the previous titles it's just blegh. Every 'zone' feels the same, nothing unique keeping them apart from one another. The boss dungeons are where the zones most show difference, each playing around the transformation you get in them, but they're short and sweet, whereas the ruins is large and bland.

All in all it's not a bad game, I just much much preferred the previous entries in the series. It's just a perfectly fine game, one I don't look back on with detest, but not one i'll go back to.

Overrated and wank, first half of the game is peak, second half is like being kicked in the balls by a steel toecap boot. Just a miserable and unfun experience

It's wank, really really wank

It just blows, other people have said it better than I could, but it's just simply poor

Game is far too simple
The characters all play more or less the same
When you figure out the competent items every single run becomes the same.
THe normal mode stages are a breeze to get through, you'll only struggle at the start when you're still getting your bearings.
Even endless mode becomes a doddle and unless you're not trying you'll always get to 30 minutes, at which point it just becomes a 'how long can I survive against the meme kill screen'
It's just, mid.

The first good Sonic game in literally 20 years
And it's bloody fantastic, easily the best of the bunch! One of my two top games of 2022, a must play recommendation!
