Great game so far, but would prefer to play it when it is entirely developed. Only buy now AFTER you have played subnautica / planetcrafter and crave more. From my ~2 hours of game play, the mechanics are spot on to make a GREAT game, quite literally a subnautica clone and done properly. However due to the early access nature I will be refunding and revisiting the game once the devs have finished the game.

Nothing against the devs, quite literally I just don't see myself replaying this game over and over with each update.

good game, requires big brain

I'm conflicted with this game. In short it's a walking simulator with a narrator reading a nice thrilling story in the background. The visuals are great and the amount of details models have in this game are outstanding. The developers did an excellent job capturing the enviroment of being stuck all alone underwater.

Sadly the whole game can be finished in less than two hours, sure there are places to explore but you don't really have any objective too since the story is linear. I don't want to dismiss the game completely, I'm pretty confident that as a VR experience this game would be stellar; but for a headset less person I recommend you just skip this title as the content is not worth it for the price.

This game is about conquering your fears.

I'm only giving this a bad review for performing poorly on old hardware. Other Early Access games such as SQUAD perform much better on my system and look much better. I want to see this change if possible.

-My GTX570 could not handle this game, consistently getting below 24 FPS, not a good experience.
-Network lag is pretty bad,

From a perspective of Banjo Kazoiee and Tooiee.

The game picks up as if it was supposed to be Banjo Threeie. The game feels as if it belongs in 2002 and will bring back nostalgia of 3D plataformers. The developers of this game hit all the nails on the head with this project, especially when they claimed it was a spiritual succesor of the Banjo series. This game is more like Tooie than Kazooie. If you disliked the big open worlds from Tooie stay away from Yooka Laylee. Overall, I have enjoyed the game so far about 3 worlds in. I gotta say, I love the fact that it feels like a Banjo game, but the game might be a bit rushed as the best world is the first world...

Camera:
Hate em or love em, this game suffers from bad camera angels just like the older games. It is not a deal breaker however especially since the camera can be adjusted with an analog controller now. The only thing that bugs me about the camera is that when the game forces a camera perspecitve , when that forced perspective is deactivated you instantly go back to your old camera view. (has caused me to fall to my death about two times)

Character control
The player movement in this game is spot on, the only difficulty I had was in the ice world. If you have trouble navigating your toon on the ice I suggest you jump frequently as you can control your toon in the air with more accuracy.

Couldn't bother to play more than 5 minutes. Game feels unfinished and lacks content, you literally press D for 5 minutes and have cut scene drag on for an equal amount of time. There is hardly any story during the cut scenes, honestly its just concept art of what the game could of been.Feels like they said ♥♥♥♥ it, lets make a bundle game instead of a quality game.

1/10 Just smash down zxcv and you win the whole game. Not fun, no challenge, no actual music just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ton of noise.

Optimization sucks balls, not playable / enjoyable at this time.

Fun game, lots of mods. Oh and the community is still strong online, just mind the squeakers.
