This is not for everyone and it has definite flaws on top of not being the easiest or most stable thing to play, but...this game will remain dear to my heart. Some call the writing pretentious, I honestly found it beautiful. It's been several years of radio silence, but I still hope to see EP7 one day.

Save often, and sometimes you can move slightly faster by double-clicking to the next tile you're walking onto.

A fun as hell ride, good music, good characters, good voice acting, and a damn good plot.

Greatly enjoying it so far!
Already it's better at handling the Lovecraftian aspect than a lot of actual Mythos authors I've read, you can tell that Arrowiz loves the Mythos and has done their homework on both it, some actual occult texts, and real life events in 2017 (which is when the game takes place)

A shot that misses, whether fired by you OR BY ENEMIES, will lower the ship's integrity and when it hits zero you lose. Rarely the game will sometimes go "lol ♥♥♥♥ you" and spawn enemies with rocket launchers and when this happens you can kiss your run goodbye.
A room full of five turrets that you can't bypass is also the effective end of a run. Oh yeah, destroying turrets will also damage the ship even though otherwise you can only disable them temporarily.

The fourth and last ship in a run usually has a large difficulty spike. Lastly, the game's updates stopped loooong ago and ultimately you just explored the same kind of dungeo- err ship every time, just with different sizes/layouts.
The logs mention stuff like colonies and stations but you never see any of that, wasted potential honestly. I really wish they'd have put more variety into the game, explored the concept further, or maybe made a sequel, but none of that's happening.
The ambience, atmosphere, and setting are great but I can't recommend the gameplay at all.

Do NOT get this. Thought I'd use some dosh in my Steam Wallet and that I'd be lucky like you might you think are, but nope it did ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing and now I'm having to work with EA support.
Steam Support will not do anything to help you with an MMO subscription, all their options lead to dead ends or "contact the game's support", you can't refund or pick an option letting you outline your issue better. You literally cannot bring up "it doesn't work" to Steam.

Just got back into the game, the player population has actually recovered. It's like I've traveled back in time and it's great.

An excellently-made and enjoyable first-person dungeon crawler, just started playing today and I can already see I'm going to be playing this for quite a while.
Currently doing a "Harvester" character (you can select a premade class or assign the points yourself) and having a blast slicing up demons and making potions from their organs.
(For those worried, any Alter Ego you make can do that do as well plus cast spells etc., just that if you don't put points into a skill at char gen you have to train the skill over time, which will take quite some time.)

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of enemies that few modern game engines would be able to handle, badass weapons with a dual wielding system that lets you swap whatever it is in your left hand (with a key press or two you can swap your bayonet to a Luger), gore, awesome music, intense battle after intense battle. Other reviews are saying the first few levels are bad but I'm having one hell of a blast.
It can be hard at times and chaotic, but I'm someone who loves chaos in their games.

So, bunch of zombies about to devour you? MAKE A BARRICADE FROM THEIR CORPSES.
