I have been playing this game in VR, and I have to say that it feels pretty great. There's something to actually feeling like you're picking up the pieces and playing them on a board, even as someone that isn't great at chess.

Good:
- Solid feel for moving the pieces and getting through the menus
- Great textures on the pieces and the different environments are great
- Soundtrack is great
- Some training is available, which is a nice touch
- I don't twitch stream, but I've seen the integrated "play against Twitch" functionality, and it's pretty awesome.

Would like more of:
- The training went through the basic pieces, moves, and some strategy. It would be nice if there was more in-depth training, such as a trainer that walked you through and helped you practice standard openings.

I don't write reviews often, but I really enjoy Frozen Cortex. It's unique. Take turn-based strategy, American football, robots, great electronic music, and amusing writing, throw it in a giant blender, and this is it. It's like Daft Punk having a drug-induced dream about NFL Blitz in the Tron universe.

It took me a few hours of warming up to how the mechanics work, but the latest release has provided prompts for some of the unique rules that have been really helpful (such as "if you run here, you can't throw anymore"). Once you "get it", it's actually one of those games that really makes you think, and when a play does come off, it's pretty damn rewarding to watch (but equally frustrating when it doesn't). The simultaneous-turn-based gameplay is similar enough to Frozen Synapse, but the UI seems more streamlined and intuitive.

I will be playing this game for a while, and I listen to the soundtrack at work all the time. Keep up the good work!
