Hoped for a semi realistic game, I have to say expectations not met.
I always saw the dirt series as arcade racers, this is no exception.
The cars are what frustrated me the most. Don't get me wrong, the models and sounds are beautiful, but the physics are just frustrating, nearly all RWD cars feel like their tyres are made out of soap spinning out at the slightest touch of the pedal, now i'm not good with rwd cars in most games, but even in other sims i can handle rwd cars just fine on dirt and gravel, including the first dirt rally! FWD cars can drift on tarmac with no help from the handbrake and have very little understeer. Tarmac in this game is frustrating, the cars don't handle like you'd expect them to.
I don't get the hype around this game or the new WRC title by the codies.
Expected better from this game, game is gorgeus, but as deep as a puddle.

Apex Point very promising game, good but unfinished driving physics.

Good looking cars, extensive customization and build possibilities, even with the low number of cars in the game.

Map is looking a little bare of things to do, and small, but there are a lot of things hinting towards a expansion of it soon.

Sounds are a mixed bag, with going from good sounding engines to very bad crash audio.

Progression, it has progression! Hooray! Although it's slow at the start, a couple of time attack or delivery missions will be more than enough to get you going in a couple hours tops.

Customization, it's there and it looks good and feels rewarding, as it affects the actual weight of the car and how it handles.

Overall better than expected! I'll update the review with new updates if anything changes.

the game is a straight port of the pc version, very clunky controls and unintuitive interactions with very little to immerse you in your car repairing adventure.

Fun little game with beautiful and nearly fully destructible environments, lots of stuff to set on fire and blow up.
9/10, would be a 10/10 with co-op, explosives are your friend use them wisely.
