Uninspired. Which is weird for a game that has casual stealth, action, and RPG elements touted as its experience.
Stealth ALWAYS boils down to "Alright guys, this is the big salami, we're gonna get in there and skedaddle around and maybe the cameras are looking the opposite way this time." If you want a stealth game, Payday 3 feels like it's always seconds away from bursting at the seams and a guard sees you through the back of his skull.

On the flip, combat is just shoot the man and they fall down. Zappers are a joke, Cloakers are either dead on the ground or already downing you because they spawned on top of you. If a perk is good, it's necessary in PD3. There's a reason why Ammo funnel was so valuable and it's because the core loop of ammo pickup isn't fun. So it got nerfed because it was too useful? Perks are like bad Yugioh cards in which they have a LOT of clauses to give you a SOMEWHAT useful effect for too much effort. There's a reason why the simpler the text, the more powerful the perk in most cases because you don't have to jump through ten hoops to get 1 stack of salami token.

Fun game! It's not L4D3 but it found its niche.
Here's the problem: Turtle Rock. They abandon everything they touch, and yes the "Creators of L4D" abandoned their Left 4 Dead successor. Did they overhype the game? Yes. Was it stolen laurels? Yesn't? The game was fun with friends, but had no chance to ever take off with no mod support and zero faith from Turtle Rock.

This game taught me to rub my face against every suspicious-looking wall. (Hint: Every wall is sus)

★★★★★ - My pizza arrived through a hole in my wall, but thank goodness that loud Italian chef took care of it. Would order from Peppino's again.

Update: I've since 100% this game and if you need any real recommendation to buy this game. It's a third the price of a AAA game and or 1/2 the if you buy the BALLER soundtrack (You will) and already I've put 100+ hours into a game about a sweaty anxious Italian man. This game feels like it was made with someone's whole heart and it's worth the 20$ base price.

Let me buy the OST already guys. Oh, and the game is great too
