Hylics 2

It's an incredible sequel to the cult classic, with so much visual flair and identity. The gameplay has unique aspects from 3D platformers, and a world where everything is a wonder to process.
While it can be quite a bit more challenging later on, it's gameplay is soothing as Hell, and it's music will wash over you as would the waves of the morning tide.
Every abstract creature, building, person, and even spell are all modeled with either clay, digitally scuplted models, and/or photos, creating an incredible collage of mediums.
Nothing is quite like Mason Lindroth's art piece, or it's incredible music, and hopefully there will be more games inspired by it's unique aspects with time.

I rate it, Seven Clay Abominations out of Nine.

The Desolate Hope

What an underrated Marvel. Yes, there are times where it can feel overwhelming, or as slow as a slug, but there are so many things that make it wonderful. I hope Scott revisits this one day, either in the form of a remake, or a sequel...
...Anyway, it's basically a collage of gameplay styles that work surprisingly well together, put onto Utopian simulations on machines intern on a dying, gritty, sci-fi space station, and packed along with an interesting story.

Too bad I suck at it. You aren't me though, so good luck. It is free, after all.

I rate it, Four Purposeless Simulations out of Six.
