I hit a turret and it killed all my friends. 10/10

For all kinds of gamers, from truck sim enjoyers, to factory workers, to strategy planers, to raid players. Just find the part of the game you enjoy and play it.

The visuals/game handling just might not be for everyone.

I see a ton of potential and devs who love their game and franchise! I loved the first game, and I'm starting to love the second more and more with each update :D

I think I have a slight addiction.

The way new content slowly opens up to you after playing it over and over makes the game never feel quite the same, even if you're grinding out the same character for weeks. I recommend giving the game a go. Find a friend who owns it, try it through them first, then when you eventually get hooked pick up the game for yourself.

Though I don't get spooked as much as I usually do I still get spooked. If you no longer get spooked I recommend not bringing extra items. Have spook.

It takes a while to get to some apealing content and to unlock anything that feels progressive, but once you get there it feels real good.

I have now wasted money on cases in a game I will never play again as I only played it with my friends but to do so I have to sign up for a subscription just to play with friends. Playing online is free. Playing ranked is free. Who in their right mind thought to make playing with your friends a paid subscription? I will not be touching this game while this is a reality.

Great game that no matter how many times you start over, as long as you have friends to do so with it will never get old

So I gave this game another go and it's not too bad.

The framerates are abyssmal, but I am also simulating a small world in realtime on my 1080 and i5-8400

The gameplay can be a little slow, but I feel it's supposed to be this way. You're not meant to progress fast, you're meant to live in this world and experience your surroundings, and mold them to what you want them to be.

The game style is pretty enough, though I'm not really a fan of the character creator. The way you pick colours for different things seem inconsistent as there seems to be multiple colour pickers involved. The fact that you edit your character where you spawned in the world is a cool concept, but it can also be distracting or hard to do when spawning in a bush.

I love the map feature. That is to say I love all the features involved in the map. Being able to find an optimal living place for you without having to explore the whole world is amazing. I used this to find a pleasant, flat area near a waterfall, and when the space wasn't enough I landscaped.

I'm having problems understanding the exp and crafting systems, but that isn't to say they're not intuitive. I just personally feel I'm semi-stuck as I have run out of helpful tutorials guiding me, and I haven't made a research table yet. I think I know what I have to do to get the materials, but it'll require experimentation which I'm not against, it's just not something the game has introduced me to.

TL;DR
Overall a great game with friends or to play online and meet new people. Not that I did that myself, I suffered in single-player having to learn every skill on my own which I feel this game is not about. FPS could be better, but it's not an FPS and there's no real dangers so a high FPS isn't really required.
