All of the Borderlands games are fantastic, and this one isn't even my favorite, but I'd say as far as they all go, this one is probably the best choice for pure fun. Movement is fun, shooting things is fun, missions are fun, leveling up is fun. As far as a sense of achievement goes or a feeling of excitement, I can't say this is even a good pick. It is VERY easy, and Legendary weapons (which I should say, are a whole 2 tiers above "Rare") are way too common. It is still a Borderlands game, however, and is such very good and replayable overall. If you're considering buying, I would advise going for all the story dlcs. The main story is honestly trash (in most parts. The Jakobs arc is really cool and so are some other sections, but nevertheless), those in the dlcs are better by far, actually fantastic. I would also advise playing at least Borderlands 2 first as it does a really good job introducing characters and the universe to players without the help of the first game, and Borderlands 3 doesn't even try.

I don't care what anyone says, the playable characters in this game feel better on average to play than almost all the others in the franchise. Their abilities are very unique and powerful in different ways in different situations. Being more expensive than its predecessors doesn't necessarily make it overpriced.

Ugly, clunky, glitchy, and I love every minute of it. Still holds up. Gunplay feels fantastic

Man, does this game pack a punch. MAN, does this game pack a PUNCH. Someone had already kinda spoiled the major twist of the game for me, but surprisingly, it didn't take away from the experience at ALL.

Walks into house, everything is dark. "Ah gee, someone's gonna hang themself." Walk up stairs. Heartbeat gets more and more intense. Keeps hitting ENTER. And then... Incomprehensible feeling. Dread. Sadness. Awe.

Disbelief.

I would recommend this game to anyone. This game overall is an absolutely delightful experience. It has a beautifully simplistic style and the music is flat out awesome (seriously. I would buy this game with money if it were just a blank screen with a quit button and the full soundtrack playing on repeat). I'm gonna be honest, I got into this game purely for the tf2 hat, but found myself completely lured in by it's extremely charming auditory and visual style, as well as it's strangely addictive gameplay. I was very suprised when I, first thinking that the simple hack and slash fighting style would get repetitive fast, discovered that... it never really did. I also like when you can customise your character's appearance and for some reason they just end up looking completely badass. One thing that I disliked, however, were the Candlestick Keep levels. I hate to be rushed, especially in such a pretty game as this one. What I'm trying to say is that this game is awesome, and I have no clue why it's free.
