As someone who enjoyed both Battlerite, Battlerite Royale, and other Moba-like games such as Omega Strikers I can confidently say this game has the potential to be great.

Pros:
* Combat is fun, big outplay potential
* F2P
* You can Unlock all characters through gameplay (you get a free day pass everyday to trial a new "Hero/Calixer")
* 1v1 Mode is well put together (although you can't get exp from it currently)
* The design of the map "falling" while the circle closes makes for some wild moments
* Diverse roster of different characters
* reviving teammates isn't super miserable
* winning fights feels rewarding

Cons:
* You can't get exp in 1v1
* currently no competitive ranked mode ( it's going to be added upon release)
* The circle gets small super fast after the first couple of cycles and can lead to overcrowded singular tile RNG matches
* still a fair amount of bugs ( its early access i know but still a con)
* some mythic weapons ( essentially loot crates for one person) can be a bit overtuned
* A lot of chasing happens, time to kill can feel a bit high.

TLDR; game is free, what's the worst that could happen?

this game is super fun, has a lot more depth than you'd think it would, and is a lot more difficult than it looks. Be prepared to run when necessary, throw enemies if needed, and try to not blow yourself up.. all the while collecting items and obtaining special attributes during runs via leveling up..

I've played this game more than most of these rats posting reviews, so i'd first like to start off by stating the obvious.
1. this game is still in early access.
2. it's a small indie team.
3. you will get stomped in the first games you play(probably even against bots).

This game does things a lot differently, I see some reviews complaining of people "spawn camping" but they forgot to tell you that you can choose your spawn point. So imagine your playing battlefield and you choose to spawn in the enemy base and they are just waiting at there base cause.. u know its their base? Then the inevitable happens.... Of course this is an extreme example, but it is how it works in game. In Dominance, when you die you will become a "genie" (little floating character) then you have to travel to one of the towers to be respawned. It is IMPORTANT to mention that people can see you in your "genie" form, and will likely try to kill you if you are dumb enough to try and respawn ontop of 3 fully geared people.... BUTTTTT while in genie form you will move faster than any person in game, and you will be able to travel through walls.
What im trying to say is there is really no excuse to being spawn camped. As it is easily avoided, and is obvious that it is...

Another thing this game does different is how they are going for a "any loadout works" kind of game. So in theory you can pick up whatever combination of perks and guns and it will more or less work. There is some downsides to this, such as getting deleted when playing against an opponent who knows what they're doing. But on the flip side it feels really good knowing that you can get away with going 1v3 (assuming you know what your doing).
Also each gun carries a "secondary ability" (such as a dash, invisibility, or refreshing your cooldowns) so I do recommend an mmo mouse or at least be prepared to know how to press 1-5 during a fight in game. You can combo abilities with your gun and your character in game. (this also feels fuggin amazing when you pull off some crazy combo with your gun abilities, character abilities, and your weapon... such as a bow or a pistol).

The top cons for me are as follows:
* the random loss of loot when you die, I honestly think it should be all or nothing. As currently when you get killed in game you will drop a random assortment of loot, which sometimes will have all your good gear. While other times it drops junk you didn't care as much about.

* Your starting loadout changing at the start of each game

* Playing vs bots ( it is nice to be able to play the game no matter if people are online, though is pretty brainless)

* Checking discord/steamcharts for player counts to see if I can join a full lobby ( kinda same answer as the first one)

The top pros for me are as follows:

* The devs actually talk in their discord and post updates

* There is high outplay potential with the sheer amount of abilities you can use in a fight without taking into account that they all have weapons attached to them.

* the game is fun to play and is free

* no pay to win in a free game

* The community is super cool (let us know if you are trying to get some games going!)

I of course made a video review of this game which can be found here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMk91n7rwkU

If you don't want to watch the video, and would rather read the script, ill just leave it here:
What is up ladies and gentlemen bois and girls, it's your host Zulo back with another vid, today we will be reviewing Mirador, without further ado lets jump right in
Mirador is a hack-and-slash adventure game in which you can play solo or in a duo squad, and you will face challenging player-created boss fights!
You play as a cute anthropomorphic animal from a late medieval world trapped in Mirador,
The main goal is to take down as many Sentinels aka bosses as you can and bring back loot to build and improve your own Sentinel!
You start off in the citadel, aka the main hub for the game, it is here where you will be creating and practicing against your own sentinel to make it the best it can be before setting it
loose to take on other players.
I feel like the one point I need to stress about this game is that it plays as a rogue-like game, which by definition means Roguelike is a subgenre of a role-playing video game characterized
by a dungeon crawl through procedurally generated levels, turn-based gameplay, tile-based graphics, and permanent death of the player character, leaning heavy into the permanent death of the
player as you will feel that a lot in your first hour or 2 of playing this game. As this game isn't for the feint hearted, you can expect to be learning
* timing for dodges
* when openings are for attacks.
* when is a good time to heal
* as well as more points that i can't think of

and on the complete otherside of that you will want to be honing your skills as a sentinel craftsmen as you learn to use the different circuits and abilities on your sentinel to make them
as difficult for other people to beat as possible. which both go hand in hand as you will need to grind for better gear by defeating sentinels to in turn make your sentinel be the best they
can be, while of course adding that extra bit of flair cause fashion in games emirite?

beyond that there isn't too much going on with the game currently as they are still working on squashing some bugs from launch, but I do know they are currently working on a roadmap, and
absolutely love any feedback they get, and have said if enough people want it then they will add it. As seen in this clip from Shatojon aka the head of communications and marketing for the
studio behind Mirador.

That being said it is up to the community to help dictate the direction of future content along with the developers. As they have been vocal throughout the launch of the game and seem to
frequent the discord enough to stay in touch with whats going on with community, which is always a great thing to see from developers these days. other than that some of my favorite bits about
this game is the soundtrack for the game, it is very mellow but also sparks a sense of curiosity when you first launch into the game and the fights you don't have to worry about being drowned
out by sound when you are focusing on gameplay. I also absolutely love the easy to learn hard to master controls of learning when you can heavy attack vs when you should instead light attack
followed by a evade, it almost gives you a kind of dark so-
Other than that I truly enjoy the different approach to the game they have given us by letting us create our own overly frustrating boss battles, customized to the nines with the most you
think someone can handle, then setting them loose and seeing it loot other players for you.

And of course there is 2 sides to every coin so I will say that the game can feel a bit bare bones at times, do to the fact of the completely bare naked areas you walk through to get to the
next sentinel which is probably something around a 10-15 second walk per one. I feel like something needs to be added there, maybe a mini-game? maybe some weaker mobs to fight before the
sentinel?
That and the fact there is no customization for my doggo or squawker, like i'll even take a bone as a weapon even if it is just cosmetic, I want something to show other strangers I meet in
game that I am in fact here to party.

I of course have been having a great time playing Mirador so far and have banked over 20+ hours since launch so I feel like I have gotten my moneys worth for a game priced at a mere 15 bucks,
but it wouldn't be fair to say this without knowning other people don't feel the same way, which is why I can't stress enough that this game isn't meant to be easy as that would take from most
of the fun in the game. I say this only because that's just about everyone's complaining point.
Anywhooooooooo hopefully everyone enjoyed this review of Mirador and hopefully it helps some of you in your decision of getting the game.. And as always take it easy! Peace!

I'll have all this in video form, but if you want i also have the script right below.. just in case you'd rather read it. Of course i'll most likely be doing an updated version of this once the full release is here.

tldr; 15$ for this game is more than worth it

What is up ladies and gentlemen boys and girls, it's yuhh boi Zulo checking out more new games, today we will be looking at Deathgarden: Bloodharvest, to start things off i'd like to say I have banked a grand total of 36 hours into the game and am still enjoying it. and without further ado, lets jump right in...

This game, as im sure you have gathered from the trailer is a 1v5 survival action game where the hunter is attempting to gun down all the scavengers before they can escape. While the scavengers attempt to gather enough resources (in this case blood) to trigger the exits into opening and allowing them a chance to get away, which of course is easier said then done, assuming the hunter your playing against knows what they're doing.Beyond that is absolute madness, the scavengers are each given their own set of abilities, perks and unique bonuses. You are allowed to have 1/2 abilities, 2/6 of the perks, and as of currently
(early access) you will automatically have 2 unique bonuses. Which will allow you to customise your scavenger to best fit the playstyle you are going for. As for a beginning class, a lot of people usually go for the character who can use camo aka ghost, be warry though as hunters with experience will still be able to track you if you are not careful.

The thing that truly makes this game extra satisfying is how team oriented it is when it comes outplay potential and executing saves or plays to manuever being gunned down by the
hunter. this is due to all of your abilities as a scavenger being attached to your main weapon (the bow), meaning that if for instance you are playing as ghost and your skill selected is camo, then the way you would activate your ability is by shooting it at the floor, nearby wall or teammate and it will activate the camo in a small area for a specific duration (depending on what level your ability is). And this goes for all abilities ranging from heals to shields. That being said, team communication, timing, and overall game knowledge play a big roll in the outcome of each round of the Bloodharvest. Be sure to stop by the official Deathgarden Discord server, as there is plenty of people who are willing to help and offer second opinions on questions and concerns you may have about the game, or if your just looking for a few friends to get a squad together and conquer the bloodharvest together.

As for playing in the hunter role, you will be completely on your own, with of course your main objective being to takeout all of the scavengers before they reach their goal to escape. Each
Hunter will have 1 special ability, be able to have 2 of the 6 perks, 2 of the 3 guns, and just like the scavengers will automatically have 2 unique bonuses always on. Map control, a decent headset, and general game knowledge will play the biggest roles in changing the outcome of the game, of course being semi-decent at first person shooters will help tremendously as well. The thing thats brought up most often by new hunters is how strong camo is, however if you have played hunter for enough games, you will quickly gather how to effectively take out scavengers using the camo ability. such as if you hit a scav who is invisible there healthbar will appear above their head. Of course this game is still in early access so things are bound to be changing in the coming updates..

So far the game has been really fun to play, I haven't ran into any really troubling bugs, and have only experienced 1 crash in my total gametime so far, there of course is plenty of challenges to do since there is also a prestige system in game which will give you a new gear piece plus a lil trinket next to your name in game so you can brag to all your friends or something. Of course to reach prestige you will first need to max out everything for the selected scavenger or hunter ie level 10 everything, and have an additional 10k gold coins to prestige, which will put you back to level 1 in everything but you will at least get some loot out of it (to some extent). That and the fact that the map and or tiles are randomly generated each time you play it, thus making it feel like a semi-different expierence each game. This game has great potential for being in early access, which makes me excited to see what the future holds for the upcoming updates to the game, of course this game is currently only 15 dollars on steam and I truly believe I have gotten more than my money's worth for it, Hopefully everyone enjoyed the video and until next time take it easy! Peace!

what is up ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls? I'm your host zulo and today I will be going over my initial thoughts and opinions about Battlerite Royale.
Full disclosure I was given a review copy of this game from the marketing team. That being said I have put in just over 50 hours into the game, and feel like I have a substantial grasp on how the game is so far. I would also like to mention that the game has just hit steam early access on september 26th 2018, so there is still definintely a lot of work that needs to be done before it gets a full release.

Now that we got that out of the way. To start things off I'd like to say i have never played any other battle royale game of any sort, as I may enjoy first person shooters or shooty boy games in general, I can tell you I for sure wouldn't enjoy getting shot across the map by some sniper laying in the grass or just across the map in general . Again I don't really know how often that would happen, as I just never tried them, but then I saw this game coming out from Stunlock studios which was essentially an added game mode to their already existing game known as Battlerite; which was by definition a MOBA otherwise known as a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, where there is a small map and you go head to head in a team of up to 3v3 and battle it out. But anyways back to Battlerite Royale, the thing that drew my attention the most was the style of Royale it was, it reminded me of Dawngate at first glance or something like league, where it is top down, you have abilities, and their is a quote un quote fog of war. But the best part about it, is there is no mana, so you're only waiting on cooldowns. which makes fights both more interesting and hectic.
So far I have been having a blast with the game, I personally recommend partying up with another player as it can be a lot more fun, if you don't know anyone to play with you can always stop by the Official Battlerite discord where there is always more people looking for a group. Of course playing solo is also fun, but can be frustrating at times, currently there is a group of champs that you will consistently see multiples of in solo as they are in the meta for the time being, as of recording this video, the most common champs you will see are Jamila, Jumong, Sirius, Ulric, & Alysia as they are good at escaping, sustaining damage, and confirming kills in game. Of course as time goes on we will see nerfs and buffs to champs and things will change, but balancing a game takes time, and consistent feedback from the community to help the developers out.
I currently have high hopes for the awesome possibilities in this game to come. As the game looks good and plays great, I haven't had any in game crashes yet, and the developers seem to be on a consistent schedule for updating and fine tuning the game. I plan to be sticking around to play this game more, and seeing where it goes as more people find out about this new take on the Battle Royale genre. As always I hope everyone enjoyed the video, and until next time, take it easy! Peace!

the game has gotten a ton better as the most recent free Downfall expansion brought many new things from dungeons, to new school seasons in pvp, as well as new ways to get gear. I love this game and for the price right now it's truly a steal.
