Will it RAMP!

Will it RAMP!?

*kicked due to friendly fire*

The game, while now free and still full of cheaters, is still quite good in terms of gameplay experience and considering they are actively banning people still I'd say they're doing an okay job. The game hasn't really changed during the years, something I like since many games nowadays seem to take new directions when player counts go down. The sniping is still one of the most satisfying in gaming and guns are very balanced with a good variation of going stealthy vs guns blazing in differing situations. The problem however is how people changed, the goal of the game is no longer to win a game but to kill as many people as possible according to a large chunk of the playerbase. These people sit all day just killing people and when you’re a casual like me there is simply nothing we can do to counter a full squad of addicts coming towards our location at mach. So while the game is mostly the same it truly is just a shell of what it once was and I no longer feel like playing it thanks to this.

Vehicles are still a bit bugged but very fun to use and actually a necessity compared to other battle royales since the maps are so big, and stuff like getting hit by a car going 1km/h still deals 90% of your health can be annoying but just makes sure you handle your transportation with care, unless you get run over. In the current state this game is only really fun with friends and with the quite forgiving respawn mechanics it doesn’t matter if one of you dies early. The proximity voice chat is unfortunately rarely used anymore especially since they made massive changes to it. Voice chat used to be a selling point for this game, it was fun and engaging and you could actually bond with people in the lobby etc. Maybe it’s just nostalgia but I truly feel like removing this was a big decline in quality for the game. Performance is all over the place and the game doesn’t look particularly good. It somehow looks both better and worse than it did back in 2017 while having drastically worse performance. Same goes for movement, it’s still clunky even after the few changes made over the years.

The UI is a bit cluttered when it comes to the main menu combined with the hundreds of sub-menus. While they all have a purpose they could be structured in a different way for a way better experience as it easy to get lost in the current stage. Though all this does allow for lots of customization for mechanics in-game and for your character in which all parts of your body can be customized independently. I much rather have this than having full skins where fun combos can't be achieved. This however comes with cost, literally as there now seems to be a battlepass, store and loot crates but since they aren't that intrusive and you gain stuff regularly no matter what so it's not something I hold against the game. Just can’t recommend it anymore though.

This was a big part of my early childhood and I'm glad it still exists. Just a bummer that EA had to buy PopCap and ruin the franchise. o7

Bored of your non animated backgrounds on your computer and phone?

Well here is the solution, there are millions of backgrounds with features like built in clocks or audio visualizers. All for free, and if you're not satisfied you can always create your own ones with the built in editor tool.

Generally a great app but can be taxing on your computer if you are running low end hardware.

Mom come pick me up, I'm scared.

On a more serious note, it's very well made but of course got lots of bugs especially with syncing in multiplayer. It's quite fun if you know what you are doing and have some friends with you as I'd say it's rather scary to play alone. Yes y'all can bully me for that.

Just wish you could change gamma just a bit since it's for some reason very dark on my headset. Other than that I hope to see future patches to make this game even better and to sync up events.

Good demo for people experiencing VR for the first time as it shows many elements of what you can do, when it comes to actual content though it lacks but that's okay since it's not meant to be a full blown game like Boneworks or Half-Life Alyx

Nice spin on the SUPERHOT™ series. Well made with good hitboxes and a fun experience for an hour or so the first time. After the campaign there are multiple challenges you can do which are generally a good workout and a way to get better eye/hand coordination. It takes more than luck to get really good at this game and learning to dodge and throw stuff was quite fun.

The game is not super long or have that much content but for the things it does, it does them good. I'm not in support of the censor thing they did a couple months back but if you look past that then it deserves some recognition

This is not a game, it's a social platform with game elements and the ability to create them yourselves. This game is run by the community who is creating new content and avatars all the time. It is a great place for people from different platforms to come together and just have a great time. Servers have a small problem with "crashers" and other disturbances causing servers and clients alike to fail.

This is much different from sitting in a call with people, when you can see people's body language and feel like you are standing facing them and with the helps of certain mods even mute/deaf people can socialize effectively. Since the platform is mostly community driven there are lots of games to play with your friends or randoms which can last from a couple minutes to experiences that are hours if wanted.

EDIT:

While I'm definitely not happy with the shutdown of mods I now at least respect the devs as they have kept most of their promises after they removed mod support. It's not perfect but the base game has improved lots compared to just a year ago. People with disabilities are sadly still left in the dust but seeing each new update bring useful stuff the community have wanted for years, I wouldn't be worried about that for long.

Hey, it might have bad quality textures but don't let that take away from this very fun game of tag. It's best played in private lobbies as there will always be small kids jumping around cursing etc and in bigger lobbies it turns to chaos very quickly.

The movement system is amazing and really gives everyone a workout as joysticks and buttons don't do anything. YOU yourself have to move your arms and bounce of the ground or walls to launch yourself and avoid the tagger.

The game is a great workout if you play an hour a day and though it may be free don't let that fool you, One day you'll break something. Whether it's your monitor, wall, arm or weight loss record is for you to decide.
