Terraria might be old but such a good game when you get going. Combat is a little chaotic but it scales very well with all the different bosses and items you can use as well as difficulty. One thing I have against it is that you have to keep the wiki up to be able to progress effectively as it often isn't clear what your next goal is if you wanna finish the game or just to look up crafting recipes. I'd say the same about Minecraft but that game has a crafting book now which immensely help newer players who have no idea how to do most things.

This is something that becomes less of a problem and more of the norm as you learn and have to use it less but the amount of stuff in the game makes it hard to remember everything. It's definitely a game I recommend people play at least once, It's not for everyone but those who are willing to put in the time I feel will enjoy it. Also got to point out that it has amazing modding support known as Tmodloader and cloud saves that makes it easy to switch between devices.

Played on Quest 2 & Desktop

I want to recommend this but I just can't. The game is way to un-polished at times and stuff like the menu being behind you in VR is just unacceptable. Some achievements are just impossible due to bad coding and much stuff just isn't interactable in VR. The game is definitely a good concept and would play good in VR if changes were made. But seeing as this game is so old I doubt the developers care anymore and unless you get it during a sale I wouldn't count on it being worth.

The escape room style puzzles are fun but it kinda feels like you're just pushing at random some time as much of the puzzles involve numbers which can be used as input in so many different places. It's a fun head scratcher for sure but some of these puzzles are just random things most would never think of, like doing one ending 2 times in a row leads to a new ending, with nothing pointing to that.

Very short and simple little game. The level design is different from traditional Portal™ though it works quite well in VR and the atmosphere and jokes I'd like to think is on point. Overall I recommend you play this if you like portal and have a VR headset, it's only around 20min so you can't even lose time if you don't like it.

For being this old I'd say it still holds up. I used to play PixelJunk™ Shooter 1 & 2 on the ps3 when it released during my early childhood so it was a shock to see it on recommended. The new graphics were definitely needed and it's nice that the two versions have been brought together and patched up a bit. This does not mean the game is problem free though as "invisible" liquids still exist inside walls and floors where they can't be seen but still affect the player.

I'd also recommend to turn off film-grain as I first thought my monitor was broken but turns out it was just a settings, and as for the problem of windows moving around when starting the game when using multiple monitors that do get very annoying but doesn't seem to be fixable by user. I used to play multiplayer back in the day it seems extremely dead at this point which I can't fault as it's very old.

As for gameplay it's still as satisfying as I remember and should in my opinion only be played with a controller as keyboard/mouse mode feels wrong for a game designed to be used with joysticks. It might not be impressive compared to the standards of today but I still recommend it if you like simple puzzles, exploring and uncovering the stories.

A quality indie game with great attention to detail. This relaxing slime farming simulator is something you can enjoy in peace, there are almost no stressful event and the world is designed in a way that makes it fun to explore while looking beautiful. The pacing is quite good and everything is simple enough to understand how it works. When it comes to automation it's limited but I'd say that's a good thing as a fully automated game is a boring game. Story wise it may not have a lot but the parts you do get seems tailored quite nicely with slow pacing, this makes it a perfect game to play while relaxed or sick.

The classic and incredible start to the Portal™ series. Though it might not be as complex as the sequel it's definitely got it's own charm with it being this old. Level design is very simple yet effective and it's clear that none had yet seen the full potential of this puzzle element. Highly recommend this series as it's often cheap and a good experience, funny jokes and not something you're likely to forget.

Truly an amazing mod that expands the portal universe in a very Valve™ way. The voice-acting and props are very well made and the story makes sense and extremely satisfying. If you have played Portal 1™ and Portal 2™ and you are looking for more this is definitely the next step. It's about a 6-8h experience with more of the puzzles and easter eggs you know from the series. It may not be an official game from Valve™ but it sure feels like it and I really have to give huge kudos to the devs for making it so amazing.

If you love portal, you'll love this.

Fun little bunch of test chambers. Though between this and the free mod Portal Stories Mel I have to say it's not really worth the full price. Don't get me wrong it's pretty well made, but for half the price of the base game while only adding 2 hours or so of content while reusing old test chambers, assets and not really expanding on the universe. I want to like and recommend this but at full price it really doesn't seem worth it. Props to the team though since it's fairly well made though it definitely has it flaws.

Amazing utilities for general stuff like moving your playspace and changing graphics settings and key-binds very quickly. Highly recommended for people who play social VR games.

Phenomenal work from everyone who has worked on this game. Visual wise it's just as good as the first game and that ending wow while a little underwhelming is still quite good though nothing compared to the first game. Overall story is pretty basic/lackluster which is sad to see after the phenomenal story of the first, it's for the most part well written but boring and really not integrated into the world as I would have liked. Even the ALPHA story for SBL were better then what we have now even if the devs couldn't find a way to tie that one together. Lots of QOL improvements from the first instalment with simple stuff like being able to repair a docked vehicle etc. which is very welcome and understandable that they patched those over to the first game. Models, sound design and voice acting is of the high quality I expected though I have to say I liked the old PDA and Robin voice more aswell as less talking, still an overall great job from all of you over at Unknown Worlds Entertainment.

The game has come a long way since last time I played it in the first public build almost all those years back but I'm saddened by how cut short this game felt compared to the original Subnautica. While the new biomes/environments and fauna feel quite memorable they are so few and MUCH smaller, just like the overall map which is such a shame. Instead of instilling fear through thalassophobia it tries to go with claustrophobia which really doesn't suit this game and just made it more annoying to traverse with vehicles leading to you often getting stuck. Something which surely isn't helped by the new main type of transport, the Seatruck. It's quite well designed and versatile but SO slow as and gets stuck everywhere, which is probably a design choice since the map is so small .Combined that they've dragged down the terror element lots it's just overall not as mysterious and scary anymore. With bugs still being in the game since the early betas like the save loop and structures/parts of the map not loading in I can't really say it's as polished nor playtested as the original even with the much higher budget if I've understood it correctly.

The game just doesn't feel that memorable and that's a problem, I don't even recognize half the soundtracks a few years later which is either a testament of how great the first game handled audio/music/areas or how lackluster Below Zero was in this department even if the music fits the theme very well. It's definitely a good game but it really doesn't live up to it's predecessor. Especially since a large portion of the game is above water where the even the first game struggled with handling movement and basically no changes were made for the sequel, it's still clunky and this time with predators. The SnowFox vehicle is great but just a means to an end in this game instead of being a life essential tool like all original vehicles were.

I'm updating this review as I've just seen that the developers has officially announced Subnautica 2 and I want to make sure they don't make the same mistakes once again. The first game is a masterpiece and this one is just good, I think that is the best way to put it. I've come back to Subnautica multiple times to play it again but never to Below Zero. If you want a great underwater survival game experience, go play the the original and maybe come play this if you want more lore/content but keep in mind it's much less polished.
