The game's pretty good but needs mods to make it enjoyable IMO. I think it's a little annoying how often the shark attacks you / your raft and there's no way to change that timer without mods.

One of the greatest games of all time, a staple of the early 2010 games.

good enough but the in game sensitivity is way too high (even on the lowest setting) which makes a lot of the range / testing stuff quite unplayable

Fun concept, but the game still feels like it's in the beta stages. Ranked matchmaking is not based on skill nor rank, and you will often find yourself in lobbies with players who are trying their first ever ranked game while simultaneously having enemies who are in the top 1000 players on earth. Voice chat does not work half the time, making communication impossible. These are two pretty critical aspects of a competitive shooter game, and until they are fixed I can't really recommend this game to anyone.

I'm really not a fan of the way Ubisoft decided to take the Far Cry series. I preferred the single-player aspect of it, which was slowly faded away in FC4. This game however relies almost exclusively on CO-OP, and if you want to play singleplayer you are at a huge disadvantage, since the game gives you these "team mate" NPCs that are beyond useless. The story itself makes absolutely no sense due to the setting being in the USA and not some fictional country like in previous titles. For some reason, Ubisoft also decided to make the gameplay much more punishing for those playing in singleplayer, with enemie NPCs doing about 1/4 of your health in one hit, and somehow forgot to code a functioning team mate that knew how to take cover and revive you, something a typical human player could do. I have only played about 3 hours of this game and so far I am not really feeling it. There is a chance that the game gets better as the story progresses, but in the early stages I just don't see the appeal.
