Early Access Review
Out of all the early access games I've played, this one is the only one I can drop and pick back up months later, and actually see a lot of work and content added that wasn't there before. Most other early access games I own, whether good or not, don't have the speed and effieciency of Subnautica, it's incredible how beautiful and huge this game is, and how fast it updates, while normal indie 2d pixel games (loking at you Project Zomboid!) still seem like the same game early access from 2 years ago with just a handful of features sprinkled in since then.

You can really feel the evolution of the game, and see the amount of progress and dedication the developers have, and also the mysterious new directions this game goes, as I would've never guessed a precursor update from when I bought the game a year ago, hell it felt like a finished game a year ago and here it is still going! Do yourself a favor a buy this while its still going, you won't regret enjoying these amazing updates and the content of the game!

I beat it after a second run, I had gotten it sometime during a steam sale in 2013 and poured 60 hours into and dropped it due to some terribly hard parts, came back three years later after setting off to complete my backlog (and to play a good series to get to the witcher 3) and I could say it was fun but you can definitely tell it was one of CD Projekt's first games since it does have its fair share of flaws. Fun nonetheless, if you can look past its somewhat aged gameplay (if anything, the story was more the driver to game compared to the actual gameplay) not to say the gameplay is horrible, but you can tell the story had more attention (naturally due to it having such a cool setting to begin with) and I must say Geralt is indeed a badass. So overall it was a fun playthrough, that's all I really ask of a game.

I did the math since Colonial Marines is worth $3.99 for consoles down here

Isolation is worth 12 colonial marines

10/10 would cry again

Never have I played a game so massive, so open and so modable. Now don't get me wrong, vanilla in this game wasn't half bad. Heck the first mount n blade was great first time I played it, It was so very original from the games I usually played. A trait trully unique to the few gifted developers in todays gaming society. I soon promptly bought warband however, since many many mods have been migrating and popping up in this game. Not to mention its essentially a "upgrade" to the original, such as adding new animations, better graphics, more units, an entirely new nation and all that good snaz a remake does.
What makes it stand out from previous games is that you're able to go out, carve some cozy fields and settlements for yourself, grab a castle here and there and call yourself King. You can make your own empire, ruling with an iron fist, craving more lands as you eventually swallow up Calradia in your imperial gain. Or as usual, a jackass nation will declare war on your pettyass kingdom and kick the ♥♥♥♥ outta you until you beg for mercy wondering why you thought you could ever become a king. It's still pretty fun though.
Another aspect that made this game fun, as I said before, was the modding scene. There...are TONS of mods out there. A lot of them are fantastic and really change the game into something entirely different yet keep the good old base ideas. Just to name off a few there is the 1257ad mod (personal fav) which sets it in Fuedal Europe during that year, Clash of Kings mod which is pretty self explainatory, and many improvement mods such as Floris and Native expansion. Which in themselves add thousands of items to the game. And thats just scrapping the surface of the modding scene. It's so beautiful.
In the end this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ open source that I managed to pour 627 hours (and counting) into it, and have yet to expierence being a King since I be but a humble nooblet. An easy 9.5/10 in my book.
