Absolutely a personal all time favorite of mine. Whole lotta ups, few downs. Fantastic story, fantastic music, amazing characters, really fun combat system
Left me with wanting more. Will probably NG+ it.

Absolutely phenomenal.
It's if you mixed a roguelike with mmo raidmechanics, slam in a healthy amount of co-op goodness, and sprinkle it with *lite* curtain fire/bullet hell.

Feels great to play, music's great, art's wonderful, and the public co-op is the right amount of chaotic and fun.

The biggest point though

An absolutely wonderful short journey of a sci-fi puzzle-horror.
Major epilepsy warning, though, seriously!

I'd really write more but the game is so short that I'm afraid of spoiling anything, the price tag is a liiiiiitle high I think, but I could feel it'd be argued well worth it if this kind of game fits your style.

I did not expect to like this game.
I actually avoided the BR genre for as long as I could, despite friends reccomending games in the genre over the years, I just never played them.
A friend of mine finally encouraged me to at least give Apex a try, so I thought, hey, why not, I might as well confirm I don't like the genre.

My, uh, first session was around ten hours of playtime.
I'm not sure how to compare this game to other BRs, but it's, for lack of better words, absolutely one hell of a good time. It's chaotic, fast, and exhilerating for someone like me.
Take the ability focused stuff of Overwatch, sprinkle in the marksmanship required in something like Rainbow Six Siege, and set it in a BR, and this is what you get. Pretty much every character I've played has been a lot of fun, and I'm far from the best shot, but I've had my moments and pulled off some insane games. It's a strong blend of mixing abilities and marksmanship, and despite the randomness of loot, it feels pretty fair all around.

Even dying immediately after the round starts doesn't even feel bad. You can just hop into another game in 20-30 seconds, I've yet to get frustrated despite the relative fragility of the characters in early game.

Sadly, the game has lootboxes, so be wary going in and *never* buy them, of course. Don't get addicted and wait for the law to finally ban them outright. Hopefully that day comes soon. ♥♥♥♥ lootboxes.

There's also a battle pass system, but it's far more lenient than I've seen other games do it and I usually hate the system to death, but it's actually pretty fair here, catching up is pretty easy since all challenges that give progress seem to stick around. The major ones, at least, but it's still a nice gesture. Premium stuff's okay I guess, but I don't feel like I'm missing out as hard as other premium battle passes that tend to spite the everloving heck out of me.

It's got style, it's fun as hell, and while marred by some bad practices (battle passes and lootboxes), it's a blast for even someone like me who is a support at heart, a terrible shot and thought I hated BR games in the first place.

Also Mirage is probably the most fun character I've ever played in a FPS ever, so, uh, there's that.

The game itself is fun enough. Sadly, this game's SEQUEL has a history and still seems to be damn wanting to be known as a villain. Warner Brothers just got the Nemesis mechanic patented.
After the whole lootbox scam ruining that entire's game balance, now they've set out to ruin future game creativity from other studios by making the NEMESIS SYSTEM their unique property.
This is like that time where loading screen minigames were exclusively owned by some drooling company that made it impossible for other studios to do something so simple that shouldn't even be patented.

Don't support this nonsense. Do not buy these games.

This is a *very* promising demo for a game concept I've not yet heard of. It's a turn based card roguelike brawler. Each run has your stages and enemy setup slightly randomized, too, which has kept my attention for several runs straight.

The game very much rewards creative thinking and usage of all your cards, each hand gets thrown away when you end your turn, so you really have to consider cards even when you don't have the obvious combo cards for. Many times I had the realization of "oh wait, I can do that?" while messing about with movement and manipulating the movement of enemies. Taunts, Shoves, Swaps, Combo Ender cards which are like super moves that become stronger the more you are able to attack each turn, even a Protect The NPC event that ISN'T bad! The NPC in those events is completely immune to your attacks, so you don't have to worry about hitting him unintentionally, it's very well handled.

As for what the demo entails, it seems to be just the first stage, but it's a decent length for short runs, gives just enough to make me want the full game now. It's genuinely just.. fun. The visual style is very simple (similar to Superhot) but color coded very well. If anything, I want to have the option for bloodstain colors to be able to be changed into whatever you want, and have the ability for the bloodstains from hits to remain on the environment for the whole fight so I can see just how much carnage I've dished out in the longer brawls where I'm making mooks shoot each other, the boss getting facedunked into walls and then hillariously dying at almost full health by getting kicked out the door.

Oh yeah, there's also ring outs that instant kill anyone, probably even you. :3

Try out the demo yourself, it's a little hard, but fun to master.

Solid little adventure. Boppin' music, quick but fun story, and a decent puzzle challenge. Note, the final puzzle requires a fast pace none of the other puzzles have. But completing this is worth it.

If you want to go the extra mile, there is a secret ending with some goodies, just pay attention to some of the rocks in a few levels, then pause for recollection during the epilogue. Have fun!
