Chapter 3 had this in mild quantities, but Chapter 4's expanded scope shows off this series's issues at their worst. Mob Entertainment doesn't seem interested to expand QA with the scope of each chapter. It isn't just technical issues, although those are plenty and can often be game breaking. In fact out of the four bosses, only one of them didn't force a restart just to work properly, and one of them didn't even spawn in at all even after reloading checkpoint. Of course they fixed the spawning issue in a patch, but in their infinite wisdom, the level select feature that was added in chapter 3 does not return in chapter 4 as of launch despite it being significantly longer. Not gonna replay this for hours just to experience a boss fight that will be bugged regardless.

Several one-off puzzle elements that lack sign-posting and blend in with the dark and noisy environment. I am sure these elements were much more visible and obvious when they are first prototyping the level, but that isn't the version I am playing. This could have been discovered and corrected if they did the bare minimum of having a couple fresh pairs of eyes playtest when the art is being finished up, but I guess that might delay merch sales so it isn't an option.

The chapter as a whole feels rushed. The level design feels slapped together at times. I can tell they are trying to show some sense of interconnections in certain sections, but they largely abandon the hub based design of the previous two chapters and end up with a chapter that revolves around walking through filler content through samey locations that start to blend together not even halfway into the game. You go in as a player knowing there will be a chapter 5, but the plot is setup as if the player thinks this will be the final chapter. Most of the plot is dedicated to wandering around, then hunting a plot mcguffin for a plan that you know will fail cause it has to for chapter 5 to happen, and then the plot mcguffin becomes useless and you wander a bit more till the chapter ends on an unearned cliff hanger.

This is the worst chapter in the series as of now. I hope it will always be, not because I like bad games, but because if they continue their scope trajectory into chapter 5, that will make this look like a well designed and polished experience in comparison.

It was surely a massive undertaking to make a paid expansion that can stand out among the sea of completely free modpacks and overhauls you can download in your client. But they somehow did it.

They didn't doing it by upping the complexity compared to modpacks or time required, but by making new interesting challenges with unique gameplay mechanics that extend beyond simply more complicated production chains.

You will find your factories on each planet to take completely different forms from one another. The hazards and mechanics of each planet are unique and interesting, and more importantly, doable without needing to be a factorio expert. Modpacks are made by Factorio junkies for other Junkies when they get bored with the base game, and as such have a much higher skill floor, often requiring uses of logistics and such that are otherwise optional in the base game. Space Age actually feels like it is something meant to be beaten by a more casual demographic, not in a bad way. The megabase potential is even stronger, but just to get to the win screen, if you can beat the base game (now easier thanks to the much improved map generation that released in the 2.0 update that came day and date with the DLC), you can beat Space Age, and if you enjoy Factorio, you will enjoy Space Age.

Don't bother waiting for a sale, it isn't going to come, buy it already.

"See that mountain? You can pave it."

Build a factory, unlock stuff, rebuild the factory cause it wasn't good enough the first time, accept that your factories will never be as good as the ones you see on the internet, create a nightmare factory all the way to the oil techs, consider giving up cause oil can't be freestyled nearly as easily, figure out how trains work, pave over the world, AFK for hours for the space elevator, discover nuclear, don't build it properly, nuclear meltdown, entire factory is irradiated, hundred hours of gameplay ruined in minutes, start a new save cause you aren't willing to fix your mess, rinse and repeat.

It's a fantastic game, made even better by the mountain of additions and improvements in the 1.0 update. This game is also a time vampire, so be warned.

Dear Poncle.
When you price your DLC in the range of a 20 oz. soda at the gas station. and the value of the DLC itself and the base game deserves twice the price as your charging at the least. I don't think a sale is needed. But you do you.

DLC is good btw. Go buy it.

This game dodging all of the anti-consumer practices that companies have adopted over the years for a good majority (although not all) AAA titles is to be commended. But ignoring that this game is just really really good so far.

I have been playing it co-op for a few hours and we are having a blast. This is a very well polished, well designed experience that is fun and looks good to boot. Your npc party members are all interesting and (at least so far) very well written. The writing and scenario in general also just feels like a well written DnD campaign in everything from the scenario to the characters and dialogue. From a gameplay sense this is honestly the closest there has ever been to a true video game version of DnD. It's no secret that the original CRPGs in the west strived to replicate that dynamic, and strategic tabletop experience and I would say this game has done that well enough to have finally achieved the ultimate but seemingly unobtainable goal that these CRPGs share. This is worth your time and money and then some. The quality and passion behind this product is so admirable that I would honestly ask for those looking to buy to not wait for a sale and get it at full price unless their financial situation makes it practically impossible to do so. This game in both it's depth and scope would honestly justify a $100 price tag let alone the $60 it retails at.

I had concerns about this remake. A lot of concerns. I was worried about it being fairly short and just going through the motions without adding anything interesting and just making the pacing worse. Well boy was I wrong. Not only is the story honestly better overall this time around, but the gameplay too.

If you played through the original RE4, take a moment to play through the demo. At least for me, it really captured that pure sense of panic that the village did my first time going through it all those years ago.

Clocked in 17 hours on my first play through on Hardcore. Strong Recommendation!

The premise is simple and concise, yet in a market full of games that follow checklists to stuff as many time wasting mechanics as possible, it is refreshing. In a world where retro collectibles and increasingly regular products are largely restricted to online shopping websites, the retrowave memories of walking through a shopping mall are refreshing. The game could use some polish though. If text upon starting a new game that said "Look down to see your shopping list" was added than that would make strides in improving the NPE.

Great Immersive Shooter with Survival Horror elements. Sometimes it is just straight up a survival horror game and make you piss your pants. Everyone who played this knows what I'm talking about.

This is what a "remake" should be. On a Rail is thankfully streamlined (although an uncut version exists on the workshop due to this games great mod support). Xen is essentially fully redesigned and reimagined, and most importantly actually fun. This game holds up both as a standalone title and as a remake of the original half life. Highly recommended.

Only a 15 gig download which is small considering the size of the rest of the game. Anything with the power of a GTX 1070 or better and atleast 8 gigs of VRAM should be able to handle this without slowdown. Getting locked 60fps at max settings with this enabled at 4k on a 3070 TI.
