Sure is worth it. It's a really hard game so you'll most likely die often but it's all part of the games "evolution" so no need to be discouraged ;)

Awesome game man, truly an addicting game if you have patience. Unlocked tons of stuff already but I still haven't beaten the first boss. Unfortunately my Speedlink controller doesn't seem to be supported by the game so am forced to play with the keyboard, which is a bit hard, but otherwise, no complaints :)
