After team17 acquired this game ive just watched it go down and down and down. Yes the playercounts are still high but the direction team17 is taking the game is destined to fail. Im gonna miss this game when the playerbase eventually realise that the developers dont care about the game (much like 90% of any game team17 has ever made or acquired)

If HLL is still around in about 2 years im going to be pleasantly surprised but it will more than likely be a shadow of its former self

help by removing bad choices

They removed some but im not satisfied yet so the review stays negative for now

Friend tells me to install game to try it out so we can play it
finish tutorial, no issues. Start an expedition, join 2 randoms who cant speak. I cant figure out what the chat key is and eventually figure out voice. Say "Hello" get no answer. After 10 minutes were at the first objective and were fighting it. Mid fight im last alive and as im about to revive someone i get a bluescreen due to a driver error.

10/10 would reach the obj and BSOD again.

EDIT 23.09.2022:

After trying to play the game again the next day (today) I bluescreened again during an expedition with the stop code: INVALID_MDL_RANGE.

I tried updating my drivers but that didn't help. If you're wondering I'm running this on
win 10

The FPS is amazing but the games does bluescreen after trying to play it in expedtion.

This game has potential.

I enjoy playing it even in it's currently new and bare state.

There is bad things about it but personally they are negligible TO ME

- The game becomes very laggy with a lot of citizens. Generally at around 20 FPS even on lowest settings.
- There isn't much added yet because the game is relatively new (almost a year at time of writing)

Despite the fact the game becomes very laggy i still have fun in it. Building a nice city is hard. Balancing economy is easy but you should think ahead because of how buildings are built.

Buildings require their own space and also the road in front effectively increasing their space by an extra 1 tile size. This can get frustrating if youre 1 tile off and its just one piece of road.

Generally if you don't mind games being a little bit bare and not very optimised this game should be a decent fit. Still a fun city builder

Update: As of whenever the hell build 41 released (sorry i forgor :skull:) there is multiplayer!

Game is very fun. PSA: Wait for build 41 to get multiplayer before you get it. They said it should be here "soon".

But i 100% reccomend the game if you enjoy sandbox zombie survival games that are very in depth and are unforgiving.

Update: As of 17.6.2021. The devs said that multiplayer for 41 is still being ironed out and will take up to 6 months

Game is fun. Don't get me wrong. The drawing, the weapons everything is pretty good.

The only issue is players. I don't know why people leave the game. Maybe it gets repetitive? The game is pretty bare in terms of weapon diversity. Not many different weapons. Maps are repetitive even if they are meant to be infinite. I personally think that they should be bigger or smaller not constantly the same size but different shape or different alignment.

Only issue I have with it is that the very useful equipment is DLC but otherwise game is fun to relax in i suppose. can get frustrating if you keep missing shots.

No casual 5v5 yet and its been 7 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ years. (Scrimmage doesnt count)

Bit pricy but it's fun to binge play for a week then leave it on a shelf for a month

It's definitely worth the price. It's a load of fun and it's very moddable so there is no shortage of content. I don't think the game has gone on sale ever but if you CAN get it on sale I can highly reccomend you do.

Games preety hecking fun. Lots of Mods which add tonnes more into the game.
You might need friends tho as for me personally it gets a bit stale playing alone
