good game.

Its incredibly linear for the first 11 chapters even though its a final fantasy game but the backdraw is that the last 3 chapters have over 100 hours of gameplay that im not ready for. plus 40 hours of cutscenes. what your forced with is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ megaolomaniac worth of design implements to make the game FEEL like you have options when in reality you need to fight EACH fight very specifically and treat EVERY enemy as if they have a button that when they click it they blow up the back of your head and you have to restart again. every fight after chapter 6 feels like a boss fight and about 50% of them end up with 4 guys all random targeting me with big abilities and 100-0% my main character so that once again...i have to restart. whats worse is to add on to that they made the upgrade system and the resource system AND the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ experience system all based off of 1 diminishing return. HOW FAST YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KILL THINGS. now i get that if that is your goal then thats they game you want. CLEARLY someone was doing drugs because you also can really FARM any enemies. in VERY specific areas there are MODERATE amounts of monsters that give, once again massively diminishing returns but also your crystarium is locked. you literaly cant get any better past a certain point beside upgrading gear. which you cant do unless you farm. which you cant do. this game feels like it had 20 people all deciding things with no one on the side to sit there and be like "hey this ♥♥♥♥ doesnt work together at all and were basically just making a movie thats difficult to get to the end of."
