A fun little experience, although it can be a bit vanilla at times. Pretty much your regular open world fps game with unlock trees and locations to clear.

One thing that i absolutely hate about rage 2: If you get the deluxe edition, it doesn't give you access to all of the post launch content. In this case, terrormania DLC is sold seperately through their rage store with rage coins. I. Really. Don't. Like. That.

10 years ago my dad showed me this game called counter-strike. 10 years later i still play it, despite hating myself for doing it. That has to count for something.

2017 edit: A year has passed, yet nothing has changed. Still playing the game.

2018 edit: Not playing as much anymore, but the game still is very enjoyable with the right people. I just hope that CS will get more love from Valve in 2019.

2019 edit: Despite getting burnt out and taking a prolonged break from the game in 2019, i still think that CS is the best pure multiplayer shooter out there. Just make more content for the game and it will stay relevant for a long time.

2020 edit: Haven't played the game for almost a year now. What keeps me from coming back is the lack of new content. Let's hope that 2021 will be more successful in that aspect.

Not many games receive an update 25 years after being released. Always a pleasure to go back to the classics and it still holds up well. Yes, you can play Black mesa instead, which is a great way to enjoy the first half-life game, but nothing really compares to the original.

Also multiplayer is chaos in the best possible way. Great way to spend an evening messing around with friends.
