So far, I’m only 25 hours in and too chicken to try hard mode… but it’s kinda like The Sims and Rimworld had a baby.
Keeping in mind that the aesthetics are a bit more functional.

It looks lovely on a good machine but
It’s super pretty with a good GPU.

The mechanics are enough to keep my attention and the workshop has some good options as well including more survivors and other options that may make or break your experience.

This is basically all the good stuff from the animal game we all know that was made famous during a pandemic, but with less time constraints and the characters are all child-like humans .. much less fabled.
The tools are a little more user friendly and the island is huge! so much potential.. Can't wait to see more biomes and creatures out there. I'm just getting started, but Its a great game to pass time on a rainy day, or even waste valuable time that you don't want to spend being productive. instead, you can produce onions, and corn.

I'm hoping to see more mining materials and tools etc. maybe a house design UI of some sort. Either way, Keep up the good work! There is so much I can discover, I just haven't played enough yet only fifty hours or so :P

When I first got the game, the trailer sold me. Boy was I disappointed. These hopes and dreams of this big, huge procedural vast universe were crushed upon release only to find a product that was over-promised, and under-delivered. NEXT has filled in these blanks—Was only a matter of time. The missing pieces of the puzzle have been found and polished.

To my surprise, the update was released (I had lost hope and given up on following the development) and I haven’t left my office in two days.

For all of you space survival junkies out there;
a perfect way to understand this game from the outside would be;
IF
SPACE ENGINEERS and SPORE had a beautiful love child, and got to pick and choose to take away the annoying parts and add more adventure, add better graphics and endless npc missions/lore, boom there you have
No Man’s Sky.

Start exploring.
Start claiming.
Start fighting.
Oh ♥♥♥♥ the Gek just gave me a huge frigate for saving their asses. .. score.. sky purse.
Send the a fleet on missions to discover planets and bring back new resources while you enjoy your current surroundings.

Ps. Don’t forget to eat in the real world.

If you like space survival and base building and graphical beauty and unlimited space and planet generation/exploration, this is your diamond in the rough.

This is a fantastic game. Early access, so you get to grow with the game. Even so-- It has come a very very long way and is playable in all modes. Test your building skill or fight with other players in multiplayer mode. I have put hours into this game and I will put many more. Weekly updats on thursdays (EST) also to keep it fresh and exciting. ***** five stars!
