Back in my day, it took you 12 hours, 3 viruses and a different Unicode to attempt to discover this gem. If it worked, you got to enjoy your cracked and fan-translated game. Arguably better translated than this one, seemed a bit more eloquent in dialogue from my humble but hazed opinion. I believe that's my only complaint. If it didn't work, your computer was never quite the same and yet the icon stood as a mocking reminder of a screen that ceased loading before it started.

Come kids, let me tell you a tale by the fire about this game that will forever be remembered... Vaguely, like the meaning of a fresh tattoo on a black-out drunk college student in a frat house. That kind of remembrance.

Once upon a time there was a 'seemingly-straight' bottom that just so happens to come across a bunch more 'seemingly-straight' men. That is... Until they actually meet and it all goes down hill once they remotely begin interacting. For the line up of options: We have a 'kawaii' gas-mask wearing pre-meditated psychopath, a masochistic cyber-punk with the temper of a 12 year old, a dead-inside but cinnamon-scented brick wall with seemingly indigenous trauma and the only semi-sane and continuously consensual option of pining best friend to lover.

Oh... Then there's the twins-we're-not-twins and the Dog... Forgot about the dog, he's an option too. Arguably the 'you've faffed more than you could possibly imagine' route, is the least concerning when they're not designed with a redemption arc. This tale of quickly physical romance and classic yaoi-dynamics of 'it's not gay if we don't look each other in the eyes', makes for a wonderfully twisted experience. Splash on some blood, some laughs, some really pretty art-caps and characters you will either love or vehemently hate.

The world it's set in is digital and advanced, smash cyber punk, Detroit: become human and sword art online into one then puree it until you can pour it into an android-capable dating game. Did I mention the main-bottom's hair is alive? Yeah. That's a thing too.

I'd give this game 10/10 stars and the psychological damage wasn't even /that/ bad, I really hope they port the second one seeing as it goes into more detail for parts they only briefly mentioned here. As well as unlocks Mizuki as a love interest/gives him more background prior to present story.

While I have a fleeting amount of hours recorded, I have dozens more locked in my soul from wilder times and two Noiz all-mate tattoos as tribute. I'm glad people think they're cute because it definitely keeps me from having to explain what absolute sin-bin content they come from. :)

Please buy this. Put it in your cart, wait for a sale if you have to and then go over to JAST's website and treat yourself to the 5$ NSFW patch. You won't regret it. Everyone needs to experience this absolutely devastatingly decent vis-novel. It won't change your life but it will make you question it when you hit a bad ending. You too, will have 20$ clenched in your fist awaiting RE:connect. Seriously, it's legendary and has long set the bar for this type of game.
