Early Access Review
I like this game but everybody thinking about buying it has to be aware fo the fact that it really is EARLY Access. I finished all content (or almost all of it) within 4 hours.
This game feels at times very good to play, the movement is pretty nice, some weapons feel good. But after a few playthroughs you start to notice some problems.
The weapons balancing is all over the place. The Shotgun you get as a melee attack replacement is without a doubt the strongest weapon in the game. Followed closely by DMRs that can crit damage like the big sniper rifle but fire a lot faster, effectively making them the best DPS weapons in game. The jetpack also makes the two bosses really easy and the puzzles one big joke. The level up rewards also don't really feel good, or to be more percise you can't feel them at all. Yes they give you some percentages but don't really influence your run. I wish they'd be more powerful but force you to massively alter how you play. The enemy variety isn't that great, they almost all are just a variation of a turret that can move.
So yeah, I like it but if you are tight on cash or just not really THAT into rougelite shooters I'd recommend to wishlist it and check back in quarterly.

Dunk on mobile players for 15 hours and then get put in lobbies with whales and hackers. 10/10 would recommend with mass amounts of gamer juice and friends.

So if you are reading this you probably are wondering if you should play this game and if it is worth your time. Short answer: Yes buuuuuuuuut...
According to RuneMetrics I have played this game on my main account for a total of 332 days and 8 hours ingame so I think I can give a somewhat okay review.
This is a very old game (first release in 2001) and has been updated over the years constantly. You can see the different art styles all over the world because in reality it is a huge patchwork of content. Said content consists of 3 main acitvities: skilling (leveling up your skills), PvM (player versus monster battles, including bosses and raids) and quests.
Skilling in this game is the ideal 2nd screen thing, most things can be semi AFKd.
PvM underwent a huge change back in 2012/2013, the so called Evolution of Combat, it is the reason why a large portion of the playerbase left this game and went to play Oldschool RuneScape.
Quests are uniqe in this game, they functionally are stories that you play through. They are varied and there are many of them. For sure one of the stronger suits of this game.
All of this culminates in a gameplay loop that consists of waiting & clicking in skilling, frensied button mashing in PvM (unless you use Revolution) and a lot of Wiki reading when questing.
There also is an abnormally large quantity of these three things as almost all of the content developed in the past 20ish years is still ingame.
Sounds pretty good so far right? Well yes but with a big caveat. To really enjoy this game you need to upgrade your account to the paid tier. It unlocks most of the content. Don't get me wrong you can play a long time for free but most this game has to offer is behind that paywall. In addition you get bombarded with microtransactions. Every day, every login they remind you to play their little slot machine, buy more spins for it (yes I know it's keys these days) and maybe, just maybe get 500m GP or 10 trout if you are not so lucky. This coupled with weekly weeklong promotions really leaves a foul taste in your mouth, especially since you can get XP and money as rewards thus making it theoretically possible to max all skills without ever playing the game.

There is much much much more to talk about with this game and if you are really interested in it I recommend you read /r/runescape and runescape.wiki to get a bigger picture.

So as a last and defining answer: yes you should try this game but I do not recommend paying for anything but the membership. It is playable without all the microtransactions but they will be shoved in your face constantly.

Early Access Review
This is a nice little rouge lite shooter with a bit of a learning curve. Once you figure out elemental combination and good scroll interactions it becomes a lot easier.
It is really enjoyable in smaller bursts but for long sessions there is too little variety at the point of writing. However the dev(s) seem very active and add new things frequently.
All in all for the price it is well worth it if you like shooters and/or rougelites.

Graphics wise the port is decent but there is something funky going on with the aiming, it feels horrible. Feels like it's emulated with acceleration on top. Seems like a controler is the way to play for now. Other than that good game.

Early Access Review
Let me start this review by saying this is not a bad game but there are more than just a few things that make me want to not recommend this game at this price point.

Let's start with the good things first:
- Interesting idea; a simplified verison of Diablo in all aspects: looks, combat, items, movement etc.. This would be perfect for a small mobile game that you play on the go for 30 minutes each session but for it to be a PC game there is a lack of various things -> see below.
- 3 classes in combination with the item and skill cards allow for different builds
- It's still in early access so things could change

Now for the things I think make this game a lot worse than it should and deserves to be:
To understand my following points you have to understand the combat system in this game. It's point and click to do damage to the enemies, which isn't too bad and works well enough. The biggest problem with this is how damage scaling works. Every time you level up your enemies permanently lose one health point e.g. a spider has 5 health when you are level 1 and when you level up they have 4 health. This doesn't sound bad at first but you have to think about the mid and endgame here. Due to the fact that damage is always 1 and can't be upped with items etc. even the weakest trash mobs take min. 1 click to kill, which would not be a problem if you had some form of AOE damage, AOE however is fairly non existent in any noteable form.
This alone would not be as bad if it weren't for the fact that the game, due to the way damage scaling works, to increase difficulty throws tons of "slime type" monsters at you, meaning if a monster dies it spawns 3 smaller ones, these then spawn 3 even smaller ones again. This means that you kill 1 big spider that spawns 3 medium sized spiders which in return spawn 4 tiny spiders, all of which need to be clicked to killed because AOE is not a thing.
Now you spend most of your time killing waves of trash mobs that you can't efficiently kill because you don't have the tools for it.
And because this isn't really hard but just click intensive they need to add more mechanics to make the game harder: entering now elemental types and shields.
Shields force you to click on them rapidly (a literall shield icon above the enemy) to break it so you can deal damage to the minion. Combo this with the elemntal types (poison, fire and ice which all take an extra hit unless you specced your attacks in the opposing type) and the idiotic enrage mechanic you have a spam click fest that gets interupted because the enrage bar of a monster is too close to being filled.
The enrage mechanic is another catastrophic choice the devs made for this game. Minions with this mechanic have a bar below their health that goes up when you damage them and decreases after a while of not damaging them. When it fills all the way up they heal almost all damage and do something e.g. spawn tiny spiders, shoot poison etc.. This would be an okay mechanic if they didn't use it on trash mobs but elite mobs instead. So when you encouter trash mobs with the enrage bar you have to make sure not to hit them too much otherwise they'll heal and spawn even more mobs.

As you can see I am not a fan of the way they made this combat system.

Quick word to the equipment system: if you are hoping for loot drops ala Diablo with varied stats and different weapons I have to dissapoint you. There is a very small amount of items and abilities you can get and they do not really change gameplay in a big way.

I would give this game a 5/10, it has potential but the way it is right now it just feels really lackluster. If you can get this in a sale for min. 50% off you could give it a go, there is some fun to be had but at the full price it is hard to recommend it.

Locked FPS, bad performance, bad gameplay (auto killing weapons and killing spree rewards) that bundeled with hackers.
Bad game, don't buy.
