The state of this game is very, very different from when I first began playing in 2015, so I think it would be good for me to leave a review explaining the pros and cons of siege, and the differences between the old and new states of the game I love so dearly.

TL:DR; If you're looking for a strictly tactical video game, then this game is probably no longer your best bet. If you're looking for a more realistic team based hero shooter with fun and interesting utility, then this is the game for you!

The Basics

Siege used to be a strictly tactical game with (mostly) realistic tools to assist in gunfights, called gadgets, and a focus on realism and team based coordination, which released a new map and two new ops each season. Now, Siege is a loosely tactical game with semi-futuristic gadgets with one new op each season and a new map intermittently, along with updates to old maps.

Pros:
-Very fun game overall
-Gameplay is interesting
-Diverse operator abilities allows for any playstyle
-Active development and anti-cheat

Cons:
-Toxic community, especially towards LGBTQ+ and Minority folks
-Hard to pick up and get into immediately
-Complicated maps and loadouts

My Personal Opinion

I began playing siege when I was looking for a fun, interesting and realistic tactical team based shooter to partake in, and it fulfilled this role at that time. Now, I find myself unable to enjoy Siege for realism purposes, as it's jumped the shark into holograms, magical bullets, and invincible plexiglass. I would be remiss, however, if I did not mention how fun this truly is. If you stop taking the game seriously and just enjoy it for what it is, siege will never stop being fun for you, lord knows it hasn't for me.

This review will be looking at this game specifically from the perspective of purchasing this game to play the story through for gamers who began playing after this title was released.

I would 110% reccomend doing such. I personally only came onto the broader gaming scene recently due to my previous lack of funds, and this was my first purchase. Within the story, the gameplay is wonderful and dynamic, with a wide variety of weapons to chose from, each with different combat styles with a variety of mission types which make the game never feel repetitive or annoying. For a title as old as this one, the graphics really hold up, and I found myself genuinely enjoying the visuals, as well as the lack of bugs which usually plague games like this on newer systems. I only had to restart a mission once because of missing npcs, and never had an issue of dying from being out of bounds or lack of movement.

The story itself definitely holds up, there are so many fun twists and turns, and I honestly felt it concluded nicely and didn't try to rush itself or go out on a limb to be interesting or believable, it just kind of did it's own thing in an interesting way which makes you think about what the government may be hiding.

Overall, I highly, highly reccomend adding this to your library. It's worth the money even a decade later, and I think no gamer should be without this experience under their belt.

Best free superhero mmo out there
This being said, the servers are a bit laggy and it can be buggy at times. Overall, if you're looking for a good mmo then you'll need look no further, but it's nowhere near perfect

This game is not buggy and is very reliable, but It still has many problems. there's no clear objecttives other than to kill the zombies, and the most common thing you'll be saying is this: "Finaly, I finished that wa- WHAT? MORE OF THEM?", and It's nearly impossible to find public servers. other than that, It's a good game worth downloading, especialy if you like callanges,
