TL;DR, Good old games, will always be good.

Bought the game to make sure I could leave a review, I've had a copy on disc, and another platform for years, but unfortunately with licensing rules I couldn't obtain it on steam for the longest time, which really sucked because the other versions don't support 1080p.

Fast forward to today, This is still my favourite theme park management game, I've been playing it since I was ~8 Years old, and always had a good time getting deep into the nitty gritty of park operation, using the custom scenarios option you get even more options for managing your park, or making your own challenges, for later play/sharing to others.

oh, and the inspector should be in the shadow realm for sandbox mode, I'm just here to mess around and kill peeps, not make a good park.

Diamond Hand Apes
4 Hours Later, My Arms haven't stopped hurting.
Still having an absolute blast.

So, Its been another 37 hours, since the above review. My arms don't hurt anymore, so that's nice. But i'm now $60 CAD in the hole with cosmetics. I don't regret it in the slightest.

Sidenote: On release this game was free, so in total I've only spent the 60, still one of the best 60 I've spent.

I can spam goofy saying he is guilty over and over. Its great.

I recommend this, but only from nostalgia and playing with friends. Also, grab it on sale or from a key site. Don't give your money to Activision. That being said, take a look below for more.

Campaign: TL DR; Wasn't great not the worst though, inventive game play, but a mishmash feeling to it. Like a glorified tech demo.

The Long Version:
The Campaign isn't great, its playable and has multiplayer, which i'm assuming would be more fun, but my friends wont play it, so not available from my perspective. But from the levels I did play, both on console and PC, its playable, and can be enjoyable, just not my cup of tea. (For Context, I loved the AW campaign, It felt more *solid*)

Multiplayer: TL DR; Still fun, but not very populated. Play BO2 and find an unhacked lobby, its worth the wait.

Long Version
I've played every COD since BO2, while my personal favorite gameplay was AW, BO3 felt more refined, but the massive amount of micro-transaction BS they force into the menus makes it a very hard game to pickup, its overwhelming at best, and a complete turn-off at worst. As well, there is no way to transfer data if you played on PS4 or XBOX previously, having played on PS4 and putting *quite* a high amount of time in, I unlocked a solid 2% of the games cosmetics, It would've been nice to use them here, where the game is still playable with fresh content thanks to the modding community.

Zombies: TL DR; Not BO2, but beats BO4. (Didnt play BO1)
Long Version
Second favorite zombies experiences to date, movement is smooth, zombies are freaky, and the maps are phenomenal (Not Zetsubo, we dont talk about that map)
Continuing from where origins left off in the giant, and continuing the mob storyline with shadows of evil, (which does tie into the origins timeline after the EE) you get the one shadows experience with the game, and its the only map from BO3 that requires 4 players to complete the easter egg, so it does feel kind of weak. but all of the DLC, with the exception of DLC 2, are worth it. Even if the story did end kind of weakly. Its still a very satisfying gameplay, which can be done by yourself, or with friends. Its much better with friends.

TL DR; Its a bland game, that's kept alive by fond memories of playing it, as well as the mods that you can get from the workshop. But if this is your first, or at least your first on PC, skip it.

Amazing Graphics, Works With Proton out of the box, extremely Intuitive, although so things take getting used to. And as a bonus, if you own the original (2016) hitman you get all those levels in the new engine. Definately a plus.

This game is classic, started playing these when I was around 11. The charm is still not lost, almost a decade later. Its still very well made, some minor bugs here and there, but its still a fantastic work none the less. And it works with proton out of the box. So if you're on linux, you're set.

I want to make this clear, I like this game A LOT, but I wont recommend the version they sell, not now, not ever.

Fallout 4 is basically Skyrim with guns, not only because it uses the same engine, but because that's all Bethesda has been able to make of fallout. It isnt a bad game, but there is many things that could be fixed, and when I say many, I mean, MANY.

In the last two weeks I downloaded, and ran through 70 hours of the game. I have so far found two completely different locations on the map without a skybox that are underground, and therefore cause the GLOWING DEATH SPACE that is really annoying for boundry breakers and it is sometimes necessary to noclip/boundry brake to bypass a broken script (See the Fallout Wiki for bugs, seriously, every page will have known bugs)

The only reason I have as many hours as I do is because I've modded this game to hell and back, it crashes every 4 hours without fail, on my old computer it was 2 or less, sometimes it failed to boot. The engine at this point is held together with earwax and paperclips, it just wont sustain very much for much longer, and i'm worried to see Starfield (One of Bethesdas upcoming projects) running using this engine.

Gameplay is OK, not much to do outside of shoot, kill, get item, return to quest giver. The exceptions to this rule are the Railroad quests where you save "synths" (Basically Androids) and arent loot/killing the entire time. This also applies to the endgame where you Destroy one of the alternate factions bases, sometimes its one, sometimes its two. But that depends on who you sided with throughout the game.

RPG elements basically dont exist, its a watered down RPG that plays like an arcade shooter, definately not the best example, but its still pretty enjoyable if you are casually messing around.

The one thing (Like i said above) that keeps this game reasonable is Modding[www.nexusmods.com] and I wouldnt even have played it if the site I linked didn't exist. Your first stop should be UFO4P [www.nexusmods.com] but this requires DLC so my recommendation is buy the GOTY edition, download it, download the above patch, try the game, see if you like it, and return it if you dont. You get two hours to demo it and if you dont like it you can return it and delete it.

Finally, If I play it so much, why not recommend it?
Its very addictive, especially if you mod it to hell and back, I had it on PS4 before mods we're allowed, and I still sunk about 50 hours in over all my saves (It was right before my PC was gaming capable) and if you dont buy the GOTY edition most mods straight up wont work right, not the big ones at least.

So if you ignore my advice and buy it without trying it, be ready for a bit of buyers remorse, but if you know what your getting into and are ready to spend that kind of cash and mod the hell out of it, go ahead.

Also, the graphics are ♥♥♥♥, just wanted to make that known.

Man, what to say.
Growing up playing Roller Coaster 2 & 3 this is a seriously great game.
Its everything you wanted to see, including curved roads in the old games.
Could it be pandering to the classic players? Yes, most likely. But its still a grand time.
My only complaint is that the DLC is ridiculous, I mean, for $4 you get new building materials and effects for your coasters. No new coasters, stores, scenarios, just a few more options.
Aside from those DLC packs, the game could use some more content overall.

FINAL RECOMMENDATION: If you want the game REALLY badly, go for it. If you can wait for a sale, its better to wait for the sale and make up the difference with some of the bigger DLC.
