Kill monster, make armor out of it, fight stronger monsters. That's pretty much the gist of Monster Hunter. There's a story but no one really cares about it. Its a great game if you like fighting boss monsters but don't really care much about exploring or experiencing a story. Not downplaying the world or anything, its gorgeous with all the existing wildlife in each area. Plus, there's 14 different weapons, each with their own unique movesets. So that's pretty cool.

TL;DR: It's pretty fun.
