While isn't strong or polished as Morrowind and Skyrim, even without mods this game can still stand on its own with its excellent guild quests and the best DLC in the franchise, The Shivering Isles. Although, there are many things I would suggest installing to help alleviate many of its issues after an initial playthrough.

~Suggested Mods~
Mark and Recall - Install this if you feel that Dungeons are too large for comfort since many Dungeons do not have a simple exit like in Skyrim.
Oblivion Character Overhaul - The faces in this game are terrifying to look at, install this along with the prerequisite mods.
Oblivion XP (Optional) - Levelling in this game is rather rough and Oblivion XP provides an alternative that is more laidback, consult a guide to adjust accordingly.
No More Weapon Litter - Losing the weapon after killing an enemy is a common issue that this mod resolves, instead of trying to find the weapon the enemy dropped in buggy physics, the weapon appears in their inventory.
Darnified UI - Oblivion's ui is alright, but use this for a much improved user interface that is customizable and much better suited for today's screens. Make sure to keep your settings ini for darnified on Read-Only after you finish tinkering with it as it cannot save by itself.

After 20 playthroughs, over 2k hours on PC and Xbox 360, I feel ashamed not giving this amazing timesink a review after all these years. Skyrim is an experience from the first futile Frost Troll encounter on your way to High Hrothgar to the final blow to Miraak, you will find yourself lost in its world to the point where you know it better than some places in real life! Skyrim may not be as charming as Oblivion or have the freedom of Morrowind, but I will guarantee that there is something for everyone to enjoy and love about this game.

As with every game you've played, it has its flaws such as the lack of RPG mechanics compared to its predecessors or the OP stealth archer build, but I love it too much to call it a bad game. Especially with mods, mods, mods, mods. If you haven't installed mods, you're missing out. Badly. This game has the best modding support for any game out there! More immersion? Mod the HUD out! More OP weapons? Go ahead, mod it in! The Skyrim page on Nexus has so much mods you could play this game forever, not to mention the Steam Workshop.

This game will go down in gaming history as one of the best, if not the best game of this decade. Pick it up on a sale or purchase its remastered Special Edition or on the dozens of platfoms it's on. YOU MUST TRY THIS GAME.

Play CoD instead, repetitive and linear campaign with meh multiplayer at best. (ENDING IS AWFUL)
